I experimented the modular typeface and Helvetica font using a shiny effect, in order to illustrate the "Lights Out". This shiny effect highlights the text with a glowing light effect, making it look realistic like legible lights. The shiny effect is more effective on the Helvetica font as the drop glow and shadow is extended more than the modular typeface. This is because I could not export my modular typeface as a proper default font so I ended up exporting it as an image on After Effects, so the edges of the text is super obvious on the animation. Therefore the drop glow effect doesn't reach out as far as the Helvetica font. By doing this experiment, it made me look at the comparisons as to which fonts works the best which is the Helvetica font. However I ended up using the modular typeface since it was my original font that I created for this project and I wanted my animation and poster to correlate. To improve, I could have experimented with effects and layout, to emphasise the text "Lights Out". I felt that the animation suits best in a portrait layout because I wanted it to look almost like a poster.
