- Disinfect and clean all areas
- Clean the refridgerator and microwave tops
- Scrub the floors
- Put the things I am keeping back in cabinets and cupboards
- Schedule a spring rummage sale on my calendar
- Organize the desk
- Clear off the surface of desk
- Empty out the desk drawers and clean
- Organize the supplies
- Put usable contents back into the drawers
- File any papers that need to be kept
- Organize Address/Phone list
- Eliminate any addresses/phone numbers that are no longer needed
- Use last year's Christmas cards to update old addresses
- Include phone numbers I call all the time on my cell
- Create my own yellow pages of numbers I constantly look up in the real book
- February
- Organize Master and To Do lists
- A Master List is a running list of everything I have to do
- A To Do list should only contain the tasks I'm planning on working on TODAY
- Take 4 to 6 high priority items from my Master List and put them on my To Do list
- Don't add anything to my To Do list until each task on it has been completed
- If I don't get to all of the items on my To Do List today, continue tomorrow
- Once all of the items are crossed off, I'm free to add my next set of items to my To Do list
- Organize bedrooms
- Eliminate the clutter!
- Clean out from underneath the bed
- Clear off my nightstands, leaving a lamp, clock and book
- Clear off the top and clean out the drawers of desks
- Gather stuffed animals, toys, etc
- Decide on what can be donated, sold, or dumped
- Dust and clean light fixtures
- Dust and clean fan blades
- Dust and clean mirrors
- Dust and clean shelves and drawers
- Dust and clean windows
- Take down and wash curtains
- Clean out the closet **NEEDS OWN STORE**
- Organize those paper piles
- Set aside 15 minutes per day this month to weed through my paper piles
- Concentrate on one pile at a time or a section of a huge pile
- Make 4 piles - DO, DELEGATE, DELAY, DUMP
- The DO pile will be done today or tomorrow at the latest
- The DELEGATE pile contains papers that belong to someone else
- The DELAY pile contains papers that contain something that needs to be done in the near future
- The DUMP pile will be the largest pile :)
- Take action on the Do pile, filing or dumping paper when done
- Bring or mail the Delegate pile to the proper people
- Set up a Reminder for the Delay papers, filing the reference papers
- Shred or toss the Dump pile into the trash!
- Finished? Congratulations! If not, reset and repeat...
- Organize for Valentine's Day
- Write to or call someone special for Valentine's Day
- Add cards to the shopping list
