  • the condom breaks?
    • visit local emergency room (get tested for stds)
    • take birth control pill (within 24 hours)
  • you feel a lump in your breast?
    • remember: breast tissue naturally has a bumpy texture.
    • but: lumps that feel harder or different from the rest of the breast (or the other breast) or that feel like a change are a concern and should be checked. This type of lump may be a sign of breast cancer or a benign breast condition
    • see a health care provider if you:
      • Find a new lump (or any change) that feels different from the rest of your breast
      • Find a new lump (or any change) that feels different from your other breast
      • Feel something that's different from what you felt before
    • more warnings!
        • Lump, hard knot or thickening inside the breast or underarm area
        • Swelling, warmth, redness or darkening of the breast
        • Change in the size or shape of the breast
        • Dimpling or puckering of the skin
        • Itchy, scaly sore or rash on the nipple
        • Pulling in of the nipple or other parts of the breast
        • Nipple discharge that starts suddenly
        • New pain in 1 spot that doesn't go away
  • you get into a car accident?
    • keep an emergency kit
        • + cellphone, pen, paper, camera, flashlight, card with information about medical allergies or conditions that may require special attention etc
    • keep safety first: move cars to the side of the road, or stay inside the car
    • exchange information: name, address, phone number, insurance company, policy number, driver license number and license plate number for the driver and the owner of each vehicle. make a written description of each car, including year, make, model and color — and the exact location of the collision and how it happened
    • photograph and document the accident
    • file an accident report (often helps insurance companies speed up the claims process)
    • know what your insurance covers
