Monday

  • Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009)
    • Do you know why I became a pilot? For the fun of it. Why else would anyone do anything?
    • Remember, a house divided cannot stand.
  • The Proposal (2009)
    • You know what the problem is? The problem is that this woman is a gigantic pain in my ass. First there’s the whole leaving thing. I understand that. It’s a sham wedding, kind of stressful. But then she goes ahead and she leaves this note. Because she doesn’t have the decency, the humanity to do it to my face. Three year I worked with this terrorist. Never once has she had a nice thing to say, and then she goes ahead and she writes this crap! But none of that matter because we had a deal. She just makes me a little crazy.
    • Three days ago, I loathed you. I used to dream about you getting hit by a cab. Then we had our little adventure up in Alaska and things started to changed. Things changed when we kissed. And when you told me about your tattoo. Even when you checked me out when we were naked. But I didn't realize any of this, until I was standing alone... in a barn... wifeless. Now, you could imagine my disappointment when it suddenly dawned on me that the woman I love is about to be kicked out of the country. So Margaret, marry me, because I'd like to date you.

    • Barney: Yeah and all the coughing really works my abs.
  • How I Met Your Mother: Girls Vs. Suits (s05e12 - 100th episode)
    • Ted: It's funny sometimes you walk into a place and you know you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
    • Tim Gunn: Your suit's death is another suit's life.

Sunday

  • Little Miss Sunshine (2006)
    • You know what? Fuck beauty contests. Life is one fucking beauty contest after another. School, then college, then work... Fuck that. And fuck the Air Force Academy. If I want to fly, I'll find a way to fly. You do what you love, and fuck the rest.
    • Losers are people who are so afraid of not winning, they don't even try.
    • Do you know who Marcel Proust is? French writer. Total loser. Never had a real job. Unrequited love affairs. Gay. Spent 20 years writing a book almost no one reads. But he's also probably the greatest writer since Shakespeare. Anyway, he uh... he gets down to the end of his life, and he looks back and decides that all those years he suffered, Those were the best years of his life, 'cause they made him who he was. All those years he was happy? You know, total waste. Didn't learn a thing. So, if you sleep until you're 18... Ah, think of the suffering you're gonna miss. I mean high school? High school-those are your prime suffering years. You don't get better suffering than that.
  • All About Steve (2009)
    • Worst thing you can do is leave it unfinished. It's never the solution, is it?
    • You know what my favorite part of a crossword is? When you realize you know something you didn't think you knew.
    • "Mary, why do you wear those stupid red boots all the time?" You wanna know why? Huh? Do you wanna know why? Okay, I will tell you why! I wear them because they make my toes feel like 10 friends on a camping trip.
    • New York Times crossword editor, Will Shortz, says, "We have a natural compulsion to fill empty spaces." I like to think he means not just crosswords, but the empty spaces inside of us that come from making your way in a world that doesn't always embrace unique. I tried to fill my empty spaces with words and puzzles--and Steve. But that wasn't the answer. Now I know, on the journey of life, just find someone as normal as you--if not a whole bunch.
