  • Sleeping on the red couches at the japanese restaurant kouraku in Little Tokyo on my dad's leather jacket. And wondering what the little metal thing that pops up and down, which ended up to be the rice cooker lid opening and closing
  • Riding my tricycle in the house
  • Doing homework in the breakfast room while my mom cooked.

  • Walking home from elementary school with my mom (and sometimes brother) when the car was out with my dad for work.
  • Mom picking me up from the back entrance of school, and walking down the pathway in the fall, with the golden leaves crunching underneath my shoes, or walking on grass and kicking the spiky ball things while talking to my mom about school. She used to always wear black.
  • Sliding down the cold stairs
  • Climbing up the stairs outside of the railing, while mom talks on the corded phone in the hallway

  • Dad or mom brushing my teeth in the bathroom

  • Mom or dad having to get out of the car each time to open the garage door, and how awful it was on rainy days
