Here it is! While I’m waiting for my eyes to get a little more tired, I’m going to make good use of time by listing here my new year resolutions which hopefully will not be ignored by my lazy stubborn ass. And oh, this is in no particular order of importance. My haphazard personality cannot deal with priority very well. So let’s say that these things come in equal priority with each other.
1.) Sleep early. When I say early, I mean before the day ends, before another day starts. If that’s too hard, then maybe I can allow myself until 1 AM. BUT that’s the most. This probably is the hardest to abide by, but I will will myself to do so because I care for my skin. :))
2.) Think less of material things. Again, an extremely hard resolution to live by because I think my brain is innately wired to want things. Well obviously, this is something that needs to be fixed. So how do I do this? I’m going to make it my mantra. Think less of material things. You don’t really need this. You don’t really need that. Think less of material things. You don’t really need this. You don’t really need that. Think less of material things. You don’t really need this. You don’t really need that. And the chant goes on…until I am trained enough to go out to the mall without being susceptible to impulsive buying.
3.) Eat healthy, live healthy. This means a balanced diet (protein, carbs, fruits, veggies) and quitting bad habits (i.e., smoking, drinking, missing breakfast, sleeping late, waking up late, etc.) I’m glad that I’m beginning to stay off the ciggies. Isn’t that good news?
4.) Be positive, no matter what.
5.) Find a fucking job. Earn.
6.) Work on my spiritual life.
7.) Enrich my mind. This is my favorite part. Since I’m a free bird now, I can watch as many movies as I want and read as many books as I can. So yeah, for this number, I plan to watch all the good movies out there that I haven’t seen yet, and also buy a lot of books, read a lot of stuff.
8.) Repeat no. 2.
And that folks, is the end of my list! I really really hope I can adhere to all this because it will definitely guarantee me a better year.
Live, Laugh, Love and Learn.
