canon: there's obviously not a super substantial ‘canon’ but i guess i relate the most to the board game?

memories:

• i lived in an old log cabin in the middle of the peppermint forest and didn't really talk to other people a lot
• it snowed like eight months out of the year so i was pretty used to the cold
• every month or so i’d go to town with a cart full of wood and sell it in the plaza
• i had a silver draft horse (kind of like this) named milano that would pull my cart
• the trip to town was rather long, it took around a day and a half
• i was morally neutral when it came to the rulers. i was technically one of king kandy’s citizens, however i had no strong devotion to king kandy or lord licorice
• while on my trips to town, i would pass lord licorice’s castle and he’d let me rest there (with some hesitation at first) until morning
• lord licorice was i guess my friend? i think i was probably the only friend he had
  • to be honest, he might've had a crush on me

additional notes:

• in terms of wood, the best to burn was gingerbread or peanut brittle, but peppermint was a substantial building material and was fairly ornate which is why it had such a high demand
  • (i felt ridiculous writing all of that)
• i have a memory of sitting on the beach and watching the sunset and its Good, very peaceful
• there was a frozen lake near my house that i’d go out and ice skate on occasionally
  • i remember taking lord licorice ice skating and he was Really Bad At It but we had fun
  • i was actually pretty decent at ice skating and i remember being able to do a few tricks
