- the notebook --i have no idea why i fucking like this movie; it's embarrassing. every time it comes on tv i get so excited. i've probably seen it close to 100 times, and i still like it. goddammit.
- mean girls --for every possible situation in life, there is a dumb quote from this movie.
- the turning point --nobody will watch this with me, ever. i've learned not to tell anybody what it's about and just put it in.
- moonstruck --cher actually looks like a normal person and ends up in a fine relationship. plus olympia dukakis rules.
- romeo + juliet --i watched this with a ~young person~ recently, and i guess the teens nowadays just really don't get weird shit. they like it more straightforward, like high school musical.
- babe --i think this is more of a sentimental thing... when my little sister was about four, she would watch babe two or three times a day. it's like charlotte's web for the next gen.
- where the heart is --ugh, it's a horrible movie. but i like things about small towns and people who talk with southern accents and have babies in wal-mart stores.
- the misfits --this was one of mm's last films, and it was shot in virginia city, nevada. now, stores with marilyn memorabilia take up a huge percentage of the stores on the main drag in virginia city. i am not ashamed to say that when i went there as a kid, i bought a lot of that memorabilia.
- a league of their own --i have fantasies of madonna, geena davis, tom hanks, danny devito, and fuckin jon marshall getting together and being like, "okay, this is going to sound weird, but baseball and candy bars?"
- smooth talk --the reason i like this movie is that it's based on a joyce carol oates short story that's based on a bob dylan song. i made my friends watch it recently and they all hated it.
- the fifth element --MULTIPASS!
