  • anyhow though: this is the playlist where i summarize my music tastes throughout the year! i’m going to add random songs that i become obsessed with, as i discover them, to this playlist. at the end i’ll have a playlist that acts as a musical time capsule of 2022, in chronological order.

  • anyway! music-wise i am very random rn.. just watched the genshin concert premiere + heard some awesome bangers in there (i.e. yoimiya’s theme best girl!!!). i’m also rlly feeling the vocaloid phase onset symptoms rn... prsk specifically is catching my eye

  • btw yes i’m aware of how many patchwork staccatos there are in this playlist you just don’t understand how much i love that song pls pls pls more ppl cover it and put it on spotify i WILL find every single version of patchwork staccato ツギハギスタッカート that exists. that is a promise

  • currently 09.01.22 8:47 am! (in free period rn haha.) it’s been 4 days of class & i’m already exhausted again
  • anyhow... starts w a spring/summer themed playlist’s songs! + ofc the usual jpop obsessions. i love all of YOASOBI’s music so much. also in pain over the fact that monday’s melancholy is not on spotify
  • ALRIGHT!! summary: started very randomly, as described above. lots of jp music as expected... then i had a bit of a chill phase (see ‘indica’, ‘dream, ivory’, etc) --> rubia, 大鱼, genshin --> some more intense vocaloid classics!! (meltdown my beloved) (oo btw a lot of them were from this!) --> a bit of folk/acoustic, spotify recommended it to me & i heard some great songs --> a few pop-ish or specific indie songs --> back to jp music. what did we expect lmfao. even MORE vocaloid (this is when it started rlly kicking in)... --> mcc day! + soft boy YEAH + GENSHIN 2ND ANNIVERSARY + some ending songs to set the whole vibe (added them early on haha). september was chill but so fast.

  • excited!! starts off w the best yellow cover ever aka the one by my favs kinsen & luyin kana >:) also bing chilling into the night is perpetually stuck in my head + the desc is an appallingly accurate summary of my life rn
  • ok summary: i themed this one on kiki’s delivery service; i saw it again w my family early on in august. started w my usual obsessions (夜に駆ける) + a softer vibe (for honey & sea salt)... a lot more jpop i found thru-out! transition @ ‘a very busy kiki’: went camping w a friend & added her recs :) then u see my active goal to become a TXT stan... + TOP from tower of god!! transition @ ‘a propeller driven bicycle’: some recs from my other friend <3 + mood goes back to jazzy/soft... until rasputin lmao. i have one word for ya: tar-tar-taglia
  • also listened to my friend’s quiet sadder playlist, some songs r from that. then more jpop i loved... a few more jazzy songs... & then the themed stuff @ the end! that’s it :O

  • edit 02.21.22, 2:49am: these past few days i had a bit of a shawn mendes phase where i just listened to ‘this is shawn mendes’ on repeat lmao... otherwise i mostly just switched between my 01.30.22 playlist, my feb playlist, and a few others. oh and i had a bit of a frozen arc too!

  • (edit 01.27.22; 7:04pm) okay so btw, what i meant by interests changing was i entered this pseudoarc of me liking voltron. yes, voltron legendary defender. it came outta nowhere (well... there’s a backstory i promise, i’d tell you but the word count of this would go up by 30k) and its mostly just centering around keith/lance specifically ... and i know i’m like 4 years late, but it’s honestly pretty cool onlooking at the mess that was vld’s fandom after it all crashed and burned. cool, in that sort of cynical and slightly messed up way where you’re looking at like, a ruined city, examining all the wreckage and being like “whoa... what happened here?” yknow
  • also just saying: vld s8 is a nightmare
  • but anyway!! yeah i didn’t add a TON of music this month, but u can kinda see my music taste change a bit. from lovejoy to more of a like, eclectic taste? specifically quite a few random old songs from 2017-2018 (dirty laundry is also there for... klance reasons) (please. save me. i lose dignity every time i listen to it) (BUT ITS SO FUCKIN GOOD)
  • generally i think this month was. interesting! i was all over the place, i listened to a lot of “dreaming” (and had many little random pop phases where i listened to “everlasting obsession (sneeze)” and even things like. pop hits 2014. i know. i promise i have reasons)
