• 01.03 | French Onion Soup ★★★★★
    • Super easy and turned out great! Will probably use one less onion next time, but so good that I'm making it again a few days later. Second time: I thought it was even better but my family complained that it was a bit too spicy for them - but I like spicy things.
  • 01.05 | Cheeseburger Flatbread Melts ★★★
    • These were really easy and really... interesting. But in a good way! The dough cooked a bit weird and the whole thing was kind of weird, but not bad. Going to try again at least once since still have leftover ingredients.
  • 01.14 | Chicken Parmesan ★★★★
    • Very delicious. We didn't make our own sauce though and used fettuccine noodles that got kind of stuck together. So the pasta part could have been improved a lot, but we focused mainly on the chicken which turned out great! Moist and perfectly cooked. Used a lot of dishes and was glad I had help to make though. Leftovers - used spaghetti and had more sauce and was PERFECT. Yum.
  • 02.04 | Chicken Pot Pie a la Ana ★★★★★
    • I loved it! It was pretty easy to make. The recipe was a little vague on timings which stressed me out, but everything came out great. It tasted delicious. Next time I might leave out the mushrooms because they were a little slimy. Or add them earlier so they have more time to cook. My family of course thought it was too spicy so I'd probably also add less crushed red pepper and paprika. I used pre-made Pillsbury crust that turned out golden and fluffy.
  • 02.12 | Chicken Stir Fry ★★★★★
    • I didn't use a recipe for this but essentially it was onion, garlic, chicken, red pepper, mushrooms, carrots, and snow peas served with jasmine rice. It was really good. This is what I made for dinner on Valentine's Day too. The seasoning was random and I measured nothing lol so I think it has been different every time I've made it. Want to try out more stir fry possibilities too.
  • 03.31 | Texas Cheese Fries ★★★★★
    • These are seriously amazing and incredibly easy to make. Chop a few potatoes, throw on some spices, bake, throw on some cheese and bacon, and enjoy. I've made them so many times now and they are just as amazing every time! I usually eat them with Caesar dressing just because that's what I have around the house and it makes a delicious dipping sauce. Definitely recommended.
  • 03.31 | Mozzarella Sticks ★★★
    • Not bad at all, I thought it was clever that it used cheese sticks. The problem was that once they came out of the oven, they cooled REALLY quickly. The first one I ate was delicious and the cheese was all stringy and gooey and perfect. By the second one, it had already begun to stiffen and it was noticeably becoming more like just a string cheese stick with some panko around it. Nhft.
  • 04.03 | Baked Chicken Nuggets ★★★★★
    • These turned out very well. They were perfectly cooked, crisp, and I loved the hint of parmesan flavor due to the breading. I didn't have regular bread crumbs at the time so I just crushed some panko smaller and used only panko instead of the combination I was supposed to. But it was delicious and perfect anyway.
  • 05.19 | Vegetable Chicken Kebobs ★★★★★
    • No recipe for this, we just went shopping and chose the vegetables we wanted. For these we used chicken, small red potatoes, orange bell pepper and yellow squash. The colors were ALMOST the best part. They were seasoned very simply since it was on a camp site kitchen (aka a picnic table). Just some olive oil and then pepper, salt, and some Old Bay seasoning all over the skewered kebobs. Grilled on a campfire grill to perfection.
  • 05.29 | Roasted Red Pepper Goat Cheese Alfredo ★★★★★
    • It was beautiful, delicious, and incredibly simple! Peppers took longer than the recipe says, it took more than an hour to make because of the peppers. They just bake in the oven though, and the sauce is otherwise very simple and blends very easily. The goat cheese texture and light red color made it so beautiful! Recommended for cooler days because the oven temp is very very hot.
  • 06.12 | Mushroom Risotto ★★★★★
    • My first time making risotto by myself! It's the easiest thing and it's fun too tbh, you just have to actually have the time to legitimately stir it the entire time it's cooking. Tastes so good! Had it as a side with spicy chicken.
  • 06.22 | Spinach and Mushroom Stuffed Chicken ★★
    • Weird recipe. It was turning out to be very hard to pan fry the chicken once they were stuffed since we had no toothpicks so we baked them. Making the stuffing and sauce was fun, but it didn't taste that good. Way too much nutmeg in the filling, it was practically all you could taste. Weird flavor combinations all around.
  • 06.30 | Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo ★★★★★
    • Honestly one of the best things I've tried to cook this year. Probably because if I had to pick a favorite food, it would be shrimp and I never get to eat it at home because my dad doesn't like it. I didn't cook the shrimp, Grant did, but they were perfect. My sauce was also perfect if I do say so myself, as well as quite simple as it's mostly thickened half and half with some seasonings sprinkled in. I ate the leftovers for breakfast lol.
  • 07.10 | Shrimp Scampi ★★★★
    • The shrimp scampi itself was delicious, but I'm only giving the recipe 4 stars because I edited for my own needs. There was going to be almost no sauce for the pasta with this recipe so I added a half cup of white (ish) wine. There was still not too much sauce, but since it's so liquidy (the wine doesn't thicken, just reduces), it still manages to go a long way. Otherwise the seasonings for the scampi were the same as the original recipe and they were really good! Delicious, but if you're having it with pasta I recommend adding the wine unless you just want to have plain noodles w some shrimp on top!
  • 07.17 | ( Pizza ) ★★★★
    • Okay, this was hard! I've never made my own crust seriously before. I think we had really poor technique, weren't really sure what to expect. Used store sauce, freshly grated mozzarella, other cheeses, fresh sliced pepperoni, onion, banana peppers, fresh seasonings. It turned out great even though I had some dough issues. Tasted the best fresh out of the oven, though still good as a leftover but it got a little weird!
  • 08.07 | Lasagna ★★★★★
  • 10.19 | Santa Fe Stuffed Peppers ★★★★★
    • The main change in this recipe we made was not to use turkey because we already had ground beef. It was excellent, and I also made some guacamole to add on top which was a great addition. The thing we had to watch out for mostly was making sure the pepper was cooked enough and got soft enough. Served with mashed potatoes and a side salad. Tasted so good.
