- you use aave (african-american vernacular english) as a non-black person. co-opt black terms. anti-() , ()fishing, non() & etc. see here
- you use the word ‘blackwashing’ unironically or participate in whitevember, in terms of anime and fictional characters black people are often misrepresented and based off racial stereotypes, it’s lowkey just for representation cope see here
- you use 'nb' to refer to nonbinary people.nb has been used by black people for years, please use nby/nbry (enby can be seen as infantizing to some nonbinary people so ask before using it.)
- you use 'poly' to refer to (poly)amorous/romantic/sexual . poly is for polynesian people, please use polya/polyam
- you use terms like folx, womxn, my'theyd, gentlethem or 'go they/them go' or anything along the lines of that. you are not the ally you think you are, you're just v v annoying.
- you use ableism to refer to the struggles of mentally ill people, use sanism instead ableism is only for physically disabled people.
- you still use outdated & offensive terms such as, low/high-functioning labels, sociopath or psychopath.
- you use disorders/disabilities as insults/descriptors eg: 'this weather is so bipolar', 'i'm so ocd about that', 'they're blind to the facts', 'tone-deaf' & etc.
