35 in 17 days. whoa.

shocking, really. after everything when i was younger, before i had the chance to even turn 18, i really thought the pain of it all would consume me before i reached 20, then 25, or even 30, at minimum.

yet on the cusp of 35 i reflect upon a few of my achievements that have recently been standing out as grounding reminders that i am absolutely nothing akin to my mother, and that i am my own individual in this universe capable of creating their own legacy while also manifesting love, joy, and support for those around me.

-- have been with my nesting partner for 15 years now. outlasted the fuck out of my own parents dysfunctional marriage. couldn't imagine anyone else brave enough to share this magical journey with me.

-- we were fortunate with the opportunity and beloved joy of raising our most wonderful sunbagel through 12 of her nearly 14 years of gracing this universe. raising a beagle was always a childhood dream since my heart was ripped open through wishbone and my dog skip. imagine my disbelief when we rounded the corner at the anti-cruelty society and she was there waiting for me, having just been dropped off that weekend.

-- through our love for her, we've since grown our little family quite a bit over the past decade. so funny how the Cat Distribution Center decided to drop a new bebe in our lap quite literally year after year for our first 5 bebes. LOL each of these goobers are so incredibly special in their own infinitesimally magnificent ways. words could never translate nor comprehend enough how these bebes make you feel.

-- through all my trials, pains, heartaches, loneliness, horrors and traumas, i still persist and survive. i am still here. i have not given up on myself, nor the universe. and i continue to use my energy to spread neurospicy awareness and goodwill as best to my ability that i am able. i am so thankful that Autumn and i survived our trauma in our own special ways, and forever grateful she had the support of the church, at least.
