Whatever it is you want to learn to draw, learn the:
- Perspective for it
- Life study related to it
- People and pose study related to it
- Light study for it (form, then volume, then placing shadows etc)
- Layouts/Panelling related to it, so copy comics (includes manga/manhwa/manhua)
- And (privately) copy from other artists related to it
- Mix these up daily to avoid boredom :P

Example of an artist workshop course
Week 1
- Lecture: gesture drawing and the element of process
- Homework: 100 gesture drawings (half should be from life, the other half from Old Masters drawings, paintings or sculptures). Choose 5 of your best gestures to submit for critique and instructor feedback.
Week 2
- Lecture: Connections, shape, and understanding the skeletal landmarks. Differences in gender, range, and mechanics of movement, and design of the bones.
- Homework: 25 construction drawings. Choose 2 for critique.
Week 3
- Lecture: Head drawing, skeletal construction, design, and anatomy of the human head.
- Homework: 25 head constructions. Choose 2 for critique.
Week 4 and 5
- Lecture: Muscles: Torso/Trunk. Placing the anatomical shapes of the upper and lower torso based off of the understanding of the skeletal landmarks.
- Homework: 25 construction drawings per week. Choose 2 for critique per week.
Week 6
- Lecture: Structure and Anatomy of the Leg and Foot
- Homework: 25 leg and pelvis constructions. Choose 2 for critique.
Week 7
- Lecture: Structure, design, and anatomy of the upper arm and shoulder
- Homework: 25 shoulder and arm constructions. Develop the anatomy of the upper arms together with the anatomy of the upper torso. Choose 2 for critique.
Week 8
- Lecture: The structure, construction, and design of the forearm and hand
- Homework: 25 shoulder and arm constructions. Develop the anatomy of the upper arms together with the anatomy of the forearms. Choose 2 for critique.
