• Go to all of the festivals! Especially the Greek Festival, the Arts Festival, the Llama Festival, Holi Day Festival, Living Traditions Festival, etc. There are so many great annual festivals.
  • Go urban exploring. Out here in the middle of the desert, there are a lot of really old, amazing rundown builings to explore and take photographs in.
  • Hike. With the mountains at my doorstep, what better thing to do?
  • Sail. With that huge lake to the West of us, what better thing to do?
  • Go cafe hopping. There are so many good cafes in this town I am honestly stunned. Also, that's where the poetry slams and acoustic open mics happen. That is my life.
  • Visit the Gateway area. Besides the huge outdoor mall, there is Art Access Gallery and Spy Hop Records. I spend my life at those places, as well as in the local markets and snazzy new age apartments.
  • Speaking of Spy Hop records, the music scene here is pretty chill. All the big people pass through here on their way to Denver, so I am constantly going to concerts. Twilight concerts in the fall are epic. Tens of thousands come to these free events in the park. They always have the best people.
  • The city is kind of a conglomeration of a bunch of cities now, so it seems to stretch forever. Pretty much everyone goes up the foothills a bit to watch our stunning sunsets over the Western mountain range and watch the city lights below. It's pretty breathtaking.
  • Ballet West. It's only the best ballet company in the entire U.S. Enough said. You are not a local if you haven't watched them.
  • Farmer's market. Yum.
  • Visit the bookstores. Sam Weller's is beautiful. Also Ken Sander's Rare Books is stellar. They have some extremely old stuff dating back to the 1300s. And those are some really important books.
