-- NOTE -- I would always recommend a newbie to start with Persona 3 even though Persona 5 is superior. P3 is a lot more beginner friendly and less overwhelming. If you truly do enjoy P3, then yes I would recommend P5 but at this stage, no I won't recommend my favourite game of all time *sad face*)

• the apothecary diaries (a chinese-inspired historical mystery series about a girl called maomao. she is a clever apothecary kidnapped and sold as a servant in the imperial palace, who uses her extensive knowledge of medicine and poisons to solve political mysteries which ends up attracting the attention of a man living in the palace. maomao is...... a very unique character!)

• the guy she was interested in wasn't a guy at all (this is a cute romance manga between 2 girls - mitsuki and aya. they meet at mitsuki's uncle's cd shop and bond over their love of western rock music. however, aya thinks mitsuki is a boy!!)
