January 2012 - 16 months

• Sings EI-EI-EI when mommy sings Old McDonald
• Desmond LOVES sticking his feet in your nose when you say PU, Stinky!
• Desmond points at Mommy and everywhere
• says hello when he holds the toy phone to his head
• feeds mommy fruit with a smile
• desmond gives mommy real kisses!
• pushes his cars around and says vrmmmmmmmmm
• claps his hands together very well
• crawls between gigi's legs so she can squeeze him
• climbs on top of the train table, side tables, up his crib
• calls everything a Shoe (the fish, socks, and shoes)
• whines and arches back when he's tired and can't have his way

February 2012 - 17 months

• waves to daddy (flapping his hand up and down)
• very very very clingy with mommy (screams and cries if he's not pulled up or walked away from)
• says oooooooommmmmmmm

March 2012 - 18 months

• eating apricots again
• screams when we get to the last page of Fingers and Toes
• watches wild cats, squirrels and birds out of the back window
• smells mommy and daddy's feet
• pushes stuffed animals down the slide
• LOVES mac and cheese and stuffs it in his face; first food to really put in his mouth using a fork!
• Des catches his second cold; he has a cough this time
• extra clingy while he's sick
• Dugga Dugga means Tickle Tickle
• pulls wipes out of the container and blows his nose into them
• squeezes mommy's shoulders when giving hugs
• always laying head down on mommy
• kisses the walrus in his Have You Ever Tickled a Tiger book
• says see-ya(ee-sah) when he walks away
• tries a pickle and likes it!
• really knows how to use a fork now

April 2012 - 19 months

• spins around in place
• likes to collapse his thomas tent
• tumbles forward on the waterbed
• Desmond hauls ass down the driveway and scares the shit out of mama
• Kisses, hugs and tries to feed his bunny rabbit
• plays peekaboo with his hands over his eyes
• finds it fun to cup his hands over his ears
• when he pull in the driveway he says Hoooooome.
• Desmond locked himself in the jeep, luckily one window was open!
• Desmond tries to say dance dance
• likes to talk while pointing out the vehicles in is big book
• wakes up and cries after nightmares
• waves and babbles his goodbyes

May 2012 - 20 months

• Desmond nods
• Desmond does a little cute point
• Mama and Des fall off the hammock
• visit Nonna and poppy for 3 nights and 4 days
• des goes to first show - Justin Roberts & the Not Ready for Naptime Band
• he actually makes a face and says stinky when he smells my feet.
• holds hand to cross the street
• points every time he sees or hears a motorcycle

June 2012 - 21 months

• favorite book is Little Owl Lost; learned how to say uh-oh
• plays peekaboo with Gigi underneath the booths at restaurants
• waves and rings the bell as we pass people on the bike
• makes fart sounds with his mouth when he farts
• says ee-sah instead of see ya!
• gives real kisses and squeezes when he hugs
• fly to visit Nana and Pop
• Des is a monkey on the plane
• takes a sip of bubbles and pukes up his veggie sausage all over pup's porch.
• says "oh my" and "oh my dear" over and over again
• always saying mama and dada
• says up and down. Mostly up when he wants to be carried

July 2012 - 22 months

• says boo boo (always points to knees)
• points out eyes on everyone and all his stuffed animals saying "there's his/hers/its eyes"
• Starts to become outgoing by waving and saying hi to random people
• points at random people and asks mama whooozat
• says no, uh-huh and mhmm really well
• rolls out of his crib for the first time, cries and crawls back in.
• has gone peepee on his potty seat 5 times already!
• went to Horseneck beach with Poppy and Nonna; nervous near the waves but loved to play and roll in the sand; likes to eat the sand; learned to says poppy and Nonna really quickly; no sun burn but major tan; puts his sunglasses on top of his head and leaves them there
• makes a clucking noise when he sees clocks
• has peepee'd on the toilet using the potty seat 10 times in the past 2 weeks
• when changing dirty diaper he tries to steal it before i can clean him up.
• does somersaults on the waterbed
• loves to read Goodnight Moon before bed; gets excited when he sees the tiny mouse; laughs when the old lady says 'hushhhh'
• gigi taught him to cross his arms to say I love you
• says gnight (niiiiiiiiiy)
• says beep beep a lot
• obsessed with Blue's Clue's
• songs he likes mama to sing in the car:

• catches a cold, becomes a true two terror ;)
• cries a lot when going down for bed
• crys a lot now when we shampoo his hair. Hurts his eyes.

• loves to watch man carving Halloween figures out of logs using chainsaws and blowtorch
• first hay ride at dartmouth ymca
• super cranky at Orange Leaf (rolling on floor, running towards the door, crying)
• loves fishy kisses from mommy
• needs momma/dada cuddles while falling asleep
• calls himself silly man
• falls down again and poops again.
• loves to watch Winnie pooh movie over and over
• was a Ewok for Halloween and kept his costume on the whole night!
• when going door to door on Halloween, Des rang the doorbells and said 'Candy Peas'

November 2012

• thinks its funny to poke mommas boobs.
• starts swimming with momma at YMCA
• survived hurricane sandy
• says 'I fink' and rubs his chin
• burned his hand trying to turn the hot water on in the bathroom sink
• says 'hi mommy' like Pop (in a deep voice)
• tries to sing the Winnie the Pooh song with momma
• we drive to NH and desmond is good in the car (round-trip)
• plays with Gracie and Gavin. They chase each other running in circles for 10 minutes straight
• says'No Thank You.' (No 'hank you)
• learns I Spy game
• doesn't wear diaper for awhile and poops on the floor
• starts using his new toilet-training potty (even gets out of the tub to pee in it)
• Des catches a cold... for 2 weeks!
• Twenty minutes away from my Dad's house on our drive down to PA, Des pukes up his dinner in the car. :(
