February 2013

• has been really good with his manners saying thank you, excuse me and sorry but until now would not say 'please.' we taught him by explaing how pingu, backyardigans and blue all say please.
• likes to sit in his new closet nook
• plays tunnel all the time.
• assists mommy with the dishes, by filling up dada's yellow mug with water and dumping it down the sink. (he just wants to open and close the microwave and turn on the water spout)
• learns the peewee tequila dance
• loves to dance to A-ha's 'Take On Me' and repeatedly asks to watch the video of him dancing to it.
• loves when mommy sings Skinamarinkadink song
• gives eskimo kisses and says Ungamunga
• kisses mama on the smile!
• falling over and over but Des says he's just skipping.
• really really really likes to run in circles
• does not know what its like to get dizzy
• asks for 'cow milk
• "I like it mama"
• "don't like this"

March 2013

• Des is scared and clingy because he thinks he sees a camel outside
• Des gets a black eye and bruised cheek from banging his head on the crib when he was over tired and didn't want to take a nap
• Follows mamas instructions on doing happy baby pose. And Des says 'doing yoga!'
• Des has stomach bug and vomits for 2 days, even on the way and during our trip to PA.
• Des is so clingy while he is sick he says 'I want mama' over and over
• lives red swing park
• Des eats hummus
• 'Nice and comfortable'
• Watches mama use the monster puppet and asks 'how's it work?'
• Desmond keeps diaper off and goes to the potty to pee on his own.
• Des asks to pee pee on the potty (coming out of the shower, with a diaper on)
• 3/23/12 Desmond's first poopoo on his potty!!!! Big one!
• Des says 'your best mom!'
• Des says 'super duper Des'
• cries everytime he needs to nap or go to bed for the night
• 3/24/13 gets his new big boy bed and really likes it

April 2013

• calls us Jess and Aaron!
• curses - damn it, stupid, shit
• likes to poke mama in the eyes
• bangs on the door if you leave him to nap while he's awake
• says NO! a lot...
• plays Hide and Seek with Mommy
• very nervous and has a big tantrum at first play and learn group
• "So, how's your day??" Over and over
• gets back on his green Kawasaki toy
• tells you when he was scared or crying
• still can't forget about getting sick in Mimas car and tells us all the time
• adds 'maybe' and 'ya know' on every sentence
• does a lot more whining
• always asking to go to red swing park, museum, Mimas house, to see Gigi, especially when he needs to take a nap.

May 2013

• howls like a white wolf
• says yee-haw like Jessie
• "what are you being a do mommy?" I think he's trying to say 'what are you going to do?'

"Is that amazing mommy?" "What's amazing Desmond?" "Outside amazing."

• red light means stop, green light means GO!
• asks the same question over and over again even when you've given an answer
• puts on his winter beanie and says 'its holly-day time'
• "what's going on heeah?"
• wants to go to new parks and cool parks
• "that's my favorite!"
• calls me rah rah mommy, mommy monkey...
• 'clean cereal' - cereal without milk
• "mama, you say please?" After I've taken a piece of his American cheese without asking" I ask if I can have some. He says "of course you can"
• calls himself an American boy when eating American cheese

June 2013

• "you no take a shower mommy, don't touch that shower!" cause god forbid i get 10 minutes alone to get clean.
• "i love blueberries daddy buzz"
• "Oh. Stuff and fluff"
• discovers magic schoolbus watches it over and over for a week
• says no like a real two year old

You need to fix the clouds today How do I do that? You need to go clouds in sky and fix with screwdriver... Let me get my pocket book.

July 3013

• Desmond gives flowers to Emma
• randomly says I need more energy (from Bo on the Go)

• gets quiet and puts his head on me when he realizes he's done something wrong, which seems to be his way of saying sorry.
• likes to use glowsticks as a nightlight
• says 'You Stay!' over and over if he thinks I'm leaving his bed before he falls asleep.

Me: It's almost time for bed. Des: you're pretty. Me: Nice try. Let's go lie down... Des: okay, mommy monster.

• goes kayaking with daddy
• swims to Mima in the pool
• I want 'up up!'
• poops on the potty after a 3 hour process

August 2013

• Is scared of nana's horses "are they going to eat me?..."
• sits on the tractors at Charlie Snyder's
• falls asleep in the swing at Poppy's house
• meets Nana's new dog Buddy
• is a social butterfly at Greyson's first birthday party
• pulls pants down in the middle of the party and says I NEED to PEEPEE really loud with everything hanging out.
• makes friends with Silas, Emily and Aiden
• "can I have a large coffee please?"
• hand clap = hand print
• meets Owen at his house
• falls down Emily and Tommy's basement stairs.
• bagot = forgot
• while kayaking "fix the clouds like Harry potter"
• goes kayaking with daddy a lot
• Kayaks with mommy for the first time
• visits Gigi almost very day... especially when he doesn't want to nap
• To Daddy "I'm so happy your home!"
• always reminds aaron and i to put our seat belts on. "mommy. daddy. you bahgot to put yo seat belt on!"

Des spills his lemonade everytime we go to Coasties.

September 2013

• Desmond tries to open a jar of pickles with toilet paper and then says the pickles look like little poopies.
• watched goodnight show almost every night. Sarah and duck is his favorite show.
• asks if kids will be at his party...
• "I'm not your son/love/Des, I'm Desmond. Orion. Correia."
• repeats "in the pot, 9 days old" from a song he learns from Gigi.
• poops out in the yard, but was proud instead of upset.
• yelling when he doesnt want to go to bed "but i dont know how to sleep!!, but i dont know how!" over and over
• Des loves to eat the Concord grapes (seeds and all) from the backyard

October 2013

• farmonica = harmonica
• desmond closes his eyes and sharply shakes his head no when he doesnt have to do something.
• names his fish Mrs. Weasley, Moody and the Gang
• going to sleep Des cries "But mommy's my friend."
• loves to jump with and talk to TJ
• "You know what I mean, Jelly Bean?" Or "you know that, jellybean?"
• Drunkily sings ABC song when he's tired.
• Very loudly yells "OVER HAIIR!"
• "Can you tell Thomas/Greyson..."
• Me " they (the bruins) lost... My team lost" Des "it's okay mommy, the commercial is on, it'll come back" Me: "no they already lost, it's done..." Des: "it's alright mommy, it's alright it's alright"

NOVEMBER 2013

• "big mad burps"
• Des sits on Sunny all by himself and is very brave.
• Poops on the potty two more times!!

DECEMBER 2013

• randomly says "I'm impressed! / at least... /
• not the least bit interested in Santa
• pulls daddy's finger
• shares his food
• my mudduh = my mother
• always talks about writing a 'chwismiss wist'
• when mad yells... EVER! ...meaning never!
• "You know you're pretty silly for a city kid"
• loves singing frosty before bed
