I'm Kayla. I love lions and clementines.
My life consists of poke wars, extremely awkward conversations, a few spectacular people, and a love of almost everything.

  • Dress up just because.
  • Be nice just because.
  • Spend time outside.
  • Make a date with yourself, your favorite beverage, and an interesting book.
  • Tell the truth.
  • Stop procrastinating.
  • Listen to people when they talk.
  • Tell people how much you care about them as often as you can. Sometimes they forget.
  • Plant a small garden; flowers, vegetables, herbs, anything. Tend to it every day and use it.
  • Remember people’s birthdays, anniversaries, names, and other important information. It really pays off in the end.
  • Make a bucket list or a list of things to do before a certain date and make it your utmost goal to complete them all.
  • Talk with someone in person instead of calling or texting them.
  • Instead of waiting for people to ask you to hang out, ask them first.
  • Write poetry, write stories, write “screw you” letters, write confessions, write anything. It really does help.
  • Volunteer; giving your time to someone is almost always better than giving money to them.
  • Forgive people who deserve it, but learn how to let go of those who take advantage of that forgiveness.
  • Keep in touch with people, especially over vacation and long periods of time. Distance isn’t an excuse to forget about someone.
  • Drink more water, eat more fruits, and make sure you eat breakfast.
  • Try to keep your room and your living space organized and clean.
  • Talk to people you wouldn’t normally talk to and be sincere when you do.
  • Be yourself.
  • Give your all.
  • Learn as much as you can.
  • Embody the child in you, but know when to be serious.
  • Make eye contact with people when you are talking with them.
  • Focus on one goal at a time.
  • Keep your promises.
  • Live in the moment.
  • Think before you speak.

  • Don't follow your dreams. Chase them.
  • Remind yourself that you are beautiful and deserve to have your wishes come true.
  • Don't be afraid to take chances. Don't be afraid to try something new.
  • Scream at the top of your lungs out of anger, or excitement. Let your emotions burst. Let them thrive.
  • Wish upon a shooting star. It doesn't hurt anyone to dream.
  • Know your limits, but also know nothing is impossible.
  • Cook a meal or bake a cake. From scratch.
  • Leap as high as you can. If at first you don't reach great heights, leap higher.
  • Explore new music. You never know what's out there.
  • Instead of buying a gift for someone, try making one. Although it's been said a thousand times, it means a lot more.
  • Dance in the rain. Stomp in muddles, play in mud.
  • High expectations will leave you dissapointed- so appreciate the little things. They can mean so much more.
  • Instead of complaining or dwelling on the bad things in your life, talk about the good things instead.
  • Stop worrying about things that are beyond your power to change. Happiness only comes when you are content with your surroundings and yourself.
  • Don't pay attention to what other people say about you. Forget the people that hate you and remember the ones that love you.
  • Dance like no one is watching.
  • Don't take everything personally.
  • Let go of your pocessions and instead treasure things like your friends, your family, and your dreams.
  • There are bad times, but then there are also great times. Stay true to what you believe in and know that everything gets better.
  • Accept change with open arms.
  • Crying does not mean you are weak. It means you are alive.
  • Remember that every single day is your day to be whoever and whatever you want to be. And no one can stop you.
  • Talk to a stranger. Say anything you want. Tell them about your day, but more importantly, ask about theirs. Why? Because chances are, you could change their life with a smiple smile and a few simple questions.
  • Don't seek revenge. It almost always leaves you feeling guilty and regretful.
