• pants or skirt combo on this girl. Also watch the twists to the front she does. Include lots of extra pleated fabric in the center of the "veil" to allow for expansive legwork. harem pants are split up the front sides to show leg, the top of which is covered by the belt. possible use for sword dance costume? use well-washed light cotton or cotton/tencil brocade for pants, chiffon for "veil." make sure when picked up the corners of veil do not create "pockets" where the pants can get stuck while dancing. i might be too large to wear these. pants should have some sort of pattern/texture on them.
• above- really, that's a pretty simple, yet lovely base costume, with the lace trim. think about how to make one.
