- A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket - tbh I've been meaning to reread all of these. Favorite childhood series ever, even more than Harry Potter (although I like HP too).
- While England Sleeps by David Leavitt - idk this is my favorite gay lit ever? I know it stirred up controversy, but this book always makes me cry whenever I read it.
- Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami - I think the ending of this book is the best, and nothing I've ever read can be compared to it.
- The Reader by Bernard Schlink - probably why I'm so obsessed with Germany.
- The Stranger by Albert Camus - reads the best. Best 1st POV.
- Southern California: An Island on the Land - best history.
- This is Water by DFW - best graduation speech.
