This is really just a list for myself, so I won't forget to make these one day.

  • A small notebook where on each page you write one thing you like about that person.
    • Possibly Moleskine: Set of 2 Volant Notebooks Plain Extra Small? It has only 56 pages, so you won't have to think hard about the things you like about the person, and so the result will be a more honest and joyful notebook. :--)
  • Drawings of you two as cats.
  • Print of Egon Schiele's 'L'étreinte'.
  • Quotes:
    • "There are two ways to reach me: by way of kisses or by way of the imagination. But there is a hierarchy: the kisses alone don’t work." - Anaïs Nin
    • "How many loved your moments of glad grace, and loved your beauty with love false or true, but one man loved the pilgrim soul in you, and loved the sorrows of your changing face." - William Butler Yeats, "When you are old and grey"
    • "I leave you my portrait so that you will have my presence all the days and nights that I am away from you." - Frida Kahlo, Letters to Diego
      • You could include a painted self-portrait on the same spread with this.
    • "The most sophisticated people I know - inside they are all children." - Jim Henson
    • "Since we first met I have loved you with whatever I had to love you with." - Zelda to Scott, 1935
    • "The heart of another is a dark forest, always, no matter how close it has been to one’s own." - Willa Cather
    • "No miles of any measurement can separate your soul from mine." - John Muir
    • "Stop saying sorry. Say thank you instead. When you say, “sorry for being a jerk” the other person is forced to either call you a jerk or say it wasnt a big deal. Instead, say “thank you for being so patient with me” so the other person has a reason to say they love you."
    • "I don’t know a perfect person. I only know flawed people who are still worth loving." - John Green
    • "Language allows us to reach out to people, to touch them with our innermost fears, hopes, disappointments, victories. To reach out to people we’ll never meet. It’s the greatest legacy you could ever leave your children or your loved ones: The history of how you felt." - Simon Van Booy
    • "…before I die I want to see / the world that lies behind the strangeness of your eyes." - Charlotte Mew, On The Road to The Sea
    • "Why didn’t I learn to treat everything like it was the last time? My greatest regret was how much I believed in the future." - Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
    • "We do know that no one gets wise enough to really understand the heart of another, though it is the task of our life to try." - Louise Erdrich, The Bingo Palace
    • "I have looked at you / in millions of ways and / I have loved you in each" - haiku
  • Prints of screencaps of movies you watched together.
  • Mixtape + tracklist of songs that remind you of the other person.
  • Eye drops! Hahaha.
  • Written memories of how you felt when you first met the other person, what you thought of them.
  • Dried white rose + one of your dreads on a spread.
    • "White roses represent innocence and purity and are traditionally associated with marriages and new beginnings. The white rose is also a symbol of honor and reverence, and white rose arrangements are often used as an expression of remembrance."
  • A drawing of you two as forest/jungle animals.
  • Inside jokes the other person doesn't even remember anymore.
