still dealing with "am i comperent enough to do this?" question, but name a person who doesn't! i did, however, switch gears from my initial idea and am currently entertaining another, which i am much more competent with. it's a topic i know so much more about and it doesn't depend on my (poor) ability to make approachable characters as much. which i'm very glad about. my earlier October/November deadline ended up, well.. unfulfilled, but i'm hoping to have something done by February. at least now i have the beginnings of a group!

that's right! i finally found time to run a oneshot! ran a heavily modified (as in, 2/3 of the adventure scrapped and the remainder almost entirely rewritten) adventure featuring a stolen door, which was actually the gateway to an extradimensional space. i really liked it! and ended up writing down a bunch of quotes, most of which i shared with the group. they're great, but way too many of them are Americans - not that there's anything bad with being Americans, it's just that our timezones aren't too compatible for a longer deal.

i don't know if i'll be able to run a oneshot again before the year ends, but i do have a brief list of modules i could use. most of them are dungeon crawls which i'm not looking forward to too much, but what else can you do when you have a maximum of four hours to accomplish something? with no chance of returning sometime later?

as for everything else, i feel stuck between a rock and a hard place. the last two sessions (oneshot) were fine and i had so much fun talking to them on the first, but i don't know how i'm gonna feel next weekend. i guess we'll find out! *nervously chuckles*
