Even my mistakes have helped guide my style's evolution, so I'm paying tribute to them.

  • Any time I didn't give a shit about how I looked
    • Particularly my late teens
  • Attempting to man-repel by dressing ironically
    • It didn't even work
  • Multiple tees with stupid slogans
  • My brief flirtation with scene-kid style
  • Wearing pastels that made me look like a zombie, because everyone else was doing it
    • Hardly anyone looked good in them, though. I’m not here for the early-aughts revival that WILL happen, totally not here for it
    • OR AM I? Covid did bring back loungewear as a statement and if it’s in the right colors, I’m into it
  • The chunky loafers with the bigass square heels
    • Hilariously, these are totally back in style but I'm still not buying them again. My feet look better in smoking-slipper style loafers
  • The grey workout hoodie I wore with EVERYTHING for YEARS
    • But I do love workout wear. That particular piece was just not the business
  • Thinking I was fabulously preppy with a bit of twee, when I really looked like a dorky schoolgirl
    • Not that there's anything wrong with that; it's just not my bag, unless there's a twist to it
  • Tourist surf-punk
    • You had to see it to believe it
  • Wearing everything two sizes too large
    • Some of my clothes are probably still a size too large tbh. Fit is tricky, yo
