Even my mistakes have helped guide my style's evolution, so I'm paying tribute to them.
- Any time I didn't give a shit about how I looked
- Particularly my late teens
- Attempting to man-repel by dressing ironically
- Multiple tees with stupid slogans
- My brief flirtation with scene-kid style
- Wearing pastels that made me look like a zombie, because everyone else was doing it
- Hardly anyone looked good in them, though. I’m not here for the early-aughts revival that WILL happen, totally not here for it
- OR AM I? Covid did bring back loungewear as a statement and if it’s in the right colors, I’m into it
- The chunky loafers with the bigass square heels
- Hilariously, these are totally back in style but I'm still not buying them again. My feet look better in smoking-slipper style loafers
- The grey workout hoodie I wore with EVERYTHING for YEARS
- But I do love workout wear. That particular piece was just not the business
- Thinking I was fabulously preppy with a bit of twee, when I really looked like a dorky schoolgirl
- Not that there's anything wrong with that; it's just not my bag, unless there's a twist to it
- Tourist surf-punk
- You had to see it to believe it
- Wearing everything two sizes too large
- Some of my clothes are probably still a size too large tbh. Fit is tricky, yo
