- inevitably results in a boulder in the gut feeling and a frantic, profanity-laden search
- whatever it was that was in my hand just a second ago and is now nowhere to be found
- spilling things:
- my drinks
- other people's drinks
- on clothes I just washed
- pulling on a door handle the nanosecond before it is completely unlocked
- cutting myself while shaving:
- tripping over things:
- things I know are there
- even after others have reminded me about them repeatedly
- things I don't know are there
- things that shouldn't be tripped on because no one could even fricken see it, much less manage to actually fall over it
- stepping on sharp objects:
- nails
- sewing needles
- glass fragments
- rocks
- mis-dialing telephone numbers:
- reversing numbers
- forgetting to dial 9 at work
- when faxing
- when manually dialing from accounts
- mixing up speed dials
- particularly, calling Kari when I mean to call Karl and vice versa
- running into things:
- people
- door frames
- desks
- especially sharp corners of said desks
- acquiring potentially serious illnesses simultaneously:
- mono and pneumonia
- resulted in collapsed lung/near death experience
- pneumonia/upper respiratory infection
- ovarian cyst/kidney stone
