i use tweetdeck to filter tags in [bracket format] and my catch-all tag is [jdl] for "jack don't look". other kinds of content tagging (slashes or spaces; "lrt: content warning"; paraphrasing the exact phrase inside the brackets) are useless to me. please ask or warn before requesting clarification for things on my blacklist to avoid triggering me

starred are the most important ones, but please tag all of them

  • [underweight] - photos or drawings of extremely underweight, weak, pale, unhealthy people. this is very contextual and not always a problem, but when in doubt, please tag it. it's related to a period in which i was very sick and on the brink of death, if that's helpful to understanding it
  • [maggots] - hopefully self explanatory. please tag mentions as well as images, including hyperbole or name-calling. the word alone can be enough to set me off
  • [ice] - ice cubes or crushed ice meant to be put in a drink, anything about eating plain snow/ice, or pictures of snow/ice close to the mouth of a human or animal. the mere thought of this can set me off, so please be cautious if you have questions
  • [parasites] or [orifices] - description or depiction of insects or other small unwanted objects entering or residing in the orifices of a human body. centipedes, in my vagina? fucking triggered
  • [tlu] - the last unicorn film based on the book by peter s. beagle. I'm working on desensitizing myself to this one. general unicorn discussion can be tense but is mostly okay
  • [derma] - dermatillomania, discussion of self harm by scratching, picking, or otherwise using the fingernails or small sharp objects. also tag general graphic discussion of skin, including acne and rashes as well as skin related body horror content. tag anything more than a topical mention, and images. images and discussion of healthy skin, wounds that break skin, and scarring is fine
  • [abuse] - i don't block this tag, but i appreciate the warning before reading your content
  • [ableism] - i don't block this tag, but i appreciate the warning before reading your content
  • [unsanitary] - i don't consistently block this tag, but i will sometimes block it temporarily when i'm not doing well. i will also probably not interact with tweets dealing with unsanitary content
  • [scopo] - i don't consistently block this tag and 90% of the time it is not a problem if you miss it. sometimes when my psychotic symptoms are very bad i will request people begin tagging for scopophobia, or images of eyes looking directly at the viewer
