- "I Wanna Be Your Dog"- The Stooges. We first played this song because Ron Asheton died and then we played it again because everybody liked it. Upon doing this song, I, like Iggy Pop, was compelled to get on my hands and knees like a dog.
- "Stand By Me"- Ben E. King. This is probably the only cover we ever played that everybody knows the words to.
- "Oh, Carol"- Chuck Berry. We tear this one up. It's on youtube.
- "I'm Not Like Everybody Else"- The Kinks. Alan from Lucid Culture suggests that our cover was better than the original, which is preposterous. We've also covered "Dead End Street" and "Sunny Afternoon." Billy and I are real dorks about the Kinks.
- "Gold Soundz"- Pavement. We actually played this at our first show ever. Evan even knows the whole solo.
- "Add It Up"- Violent Femmes. This song is only two chords and it's really hard to remember all the words.
- "The KKK Took My Baby Away"- The Ramones. This song is funny to sing when you're jewish. Doug hates playing this and complains that I've been making him cover Ramones songs since we were fifteen.
- "Punk Rock Girl"- The Dead Milkmen. We actually played this song with Joe Jack Talcum(Milkmen singer/guitar player) and let me tell you it was fucking awesome. We also did "I Walk The Thinnest Line" and "Life Is Shit" together.
- "Born To Run"- Bruce Springsteen. We did this with Steve D'ags from Zebu on guitar, Evan on bass and Jesse on drums at the record release party, possibly to the chagrin of the rest of the band(s).
- "Incinerate"- Sonic Youth. We did a pretty good cover of this at our absolute worst show ever where the drumset was falling over.
- "The Whole Wide World"- Wreckless Eric. I convinced the guys to cover this song without practicing it because it's only two chords.
- "Sweet Jane"- The Velvet Underground. We usually soundcheck with this song and have closed a couple shows with it. The guys in BKW have all played this song about 1,000 times one way or another about a million times.
- "Tame"- Pixies. This song is short but it's hard to do the scream. Our first set we ever did we played all the songs we have and then everyone asked us to play Pixies songs because in High School we played Pixies songs a lot (this girl used to think I wrote "Here Comes Your Man" and STILL wouldnt go out with me) so we did that, "Debaser", "Gigantic", "Where Is My Mind?", "Wave Of Mutilation" and "Monkey Gone To Heaven." I think at this point in my life I've played the shit out of all these songs and could potentially never hear them again.
