- having to resort to the ever lovely "know anyone who needs a roommate?" myspace bulletins
- trying to look from michigan and not being able to meet anyone
- rent prices
- people who don't want to live with me because i'm not vegetarian/male/30 years old
- weirdos on craigslist who think my apartment hunt would be a good time to hit on me
- credit checks when i have no credit
- having nowhere to stay in sf while i search
- deep fear of ending up with weirdos or assholes (again)
- weirdo craigslist ads
- answering ads and not hearing even a courtesy "no."
- friends who keep flaking as possible roommates
- trying to not sound like a freak/narcissist when i respond to ads
