- Went to work with Mako, helped her with a lot of rehabilitation things because of her apparently fractured humeral head.. I felt really bad but was happy to see that she put on a smile through the whole day. I stopped by Kate Spade on the way back home, which was a horrid idea because of Labor Day shoppers, got a new wallet, a side-bag, and a big tote bag with a grand total of $242. Not sure if worth, but will test it out. Came back to bay and met up with mom at storage shed, and later had some vietnamese food for dinner.
- Went to Burlingame for Hyatt meeting with wendy. Saw a bunch of saints, and even sat behind the tired brothers (haha). Ended up going to a restaurant called wonderful with the sisters and later on Land's End--a little bummed that David hadn't told me the brothers werent going so I felt like I was there for no real reason. Went home, hibernated, and rested because it was a tiring day...
- Woke up in the morning to a text from David saying that he can see me today.. kind of confused, but he meant that he could come see me in Albany by driving over for Labor Day! He came in the morning, after I had breakfast at Sunnyside with Preston.. It was such a fun day! We went to Ikea, target, then back to ikea again (got his desk and a few things for me), then we went to eat KBBQ at Gen KBBQ in Fremont. Felt pretty high and stuffed after, then we went to Lowe's to get some paint. Some highlight of today was just that he kept complimenting me and telling me I love you's throughout the day (which was really sweet). After Lowe's, we went to walmart and then a cafe called sweet home cafe. Drove home and back to davis at 9pm. I was very grateful that he came all the way here to spend the day with me---partly because it was spontaneous and partly because it was novel. We had never done something like this before, so it was really sweet and meant a lot to me!!
- Pretty shitty morninge but what the evs to the er. Went to daiso in the morning to pick up some cute containers, then Ikea, then got a vietnamese sandwich from Kim's cafe, then couped in library for 2 hours before going home to pick up ethan. Went to their house for a bit and chatted, and then went to target to get underwear, food, and trash bags.
- Wednesday morning woke up as usual, did some library/cafe time, had a vietnamese sandwich for lunch, met up with Ethan and went to Oakland with him to Humberto's, his dad gave me a printer to use so I dont have to spend $80 which was so nice. Drove back to Davis after packing everything and eating 10 figs for dinner, met up with David after packing everything at Catalina because im moving tomorrow! Got in a little argument with David but it was resolved. We did it in the car again, and later went to Thai canteen to get some delicious noodles!!
- Woke up early and went to makos for work, got an appointment with Kaiser at 10, and through a bunch of unforeseen, yet kind of foreseen, mishaps, we ended up leaving kaiser at like 2pm. Missed a bunch of appointments and had to put up with working with Michele the whole day which is always so stressful because she is so OCD about everything. Came back to Catalina to disassemble my bed and pack the rest of my belongings, and Norman and Phoebe helped me move the rest of my things into the Wilson's home. I went back to catalina to get more things, and then later Gwen came over to help assemble my shelf for me as I continued to get settled into my new home! It is so nice and I love having my own space, my own quiet, and just a new place to be! <3 David came to visit me at night and dropped off my new chair!
- Went to work at mako's. Today was a little better, even though Michele still made me pissed off with her OCD self. Finally said good bye to Mako and promised Ill visit her sometime. Came back home to unpack even more and help prepare for home meeting at home! Everyone came, but I became super tired after the whole day... unpacked even more and rested.
- Went to Catalina to help out cleaning in the morning and left at 10 to meet up with David to go to SF! We went to SF, David drove, just nice to have a day together. We went to wonderful to have a wonderful lunch! Later, we drove around and went to eat some more food near chinatown (golden island cafe, dumpling kitchen), and then bought some house essentials at random chinese stores! We later stopped at ikea and bought more things ... it was just a very nice day spent together : ) Sweet and full of eating!
- Lord's table in the morning, came back after love feast to clean room and set up things. Started reading for my classes and realizing how much stuff i have to read and just how rigorous its gonna be. Met up with David at his new place to go to mandro to eat taro ball <3 went to coho to do some studying and eating dinner that David packed for us, did it in the dark again, came back home to Robyn's home to have a fellowship about house logistics... had an argument with D about how I need to dress less loosely in the house...
- FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!!! First day of nursing school. It was really just going over more paperwork from Rene. I met Catherine, and sat next to Alexandra, just a bunch of paperwork and logistical matters! Came home and rested, and fell asleep on bed because of sheer tiredness, woke up and had a terrible argument with David...Gwen saw my room, but then I really had to leave. Waited for David outside his house until he finally came home at 10pm. Ate panda, drove home, and died.
- Today was the first "real" day where we dove into theory but I began to get a really runny nose. I sat with Catherine and realized the professor was going really fast with her teaching, it was so hard to keep up! Turns out when I got home, I continued to sneeze and feel terrible. I got a cold :( Had dinner with the Wilsons and it was nice feeling like it was a home!
- Today was the first day of lab, we all wore our uniforms so it all seemed a little more professional and real. I was full-on sick, sneezing, sore throat, raspy voice, etc. everything felt bad! I took a lot of emergen-c, tea with lemon and honey, zzzquil, etc. Went to dinner at the Lin's and it was nice and small.
- Today was the first day of Nursing Intro theory. I felt really tired through the whole day because the way we were seated in the room was so that I wasnt facing Mrs. Acker. I feel more assimilated into this nursing culture and feel that everyone was just more familiar with each other, more comfortable, ate lunch with a bunch of new friends and it was nice. Finally a sense of camaraderie with my new group of cohort friends. Came home, did a bunch of assignments and catch-up work for the next week, finally relaxed on bed without a worry. Ate the delicious noodles that David made for me because I was sick! I finally feel a little better, like at least my head feels clear.
- Kind of happy that it's Friday but realizing that we still had class was a little saddening since it's really been a long week. We had our first real lab class where we were lectured first and then got to practice our skills. One great thing was the girl who stuck the thermometer so deep into my mouth that it gave me a horrible coughing fit for like half an hour and I couldnt stop crying to control my gasping for air. It was crazy. Drove back to Davis and had a delicious chipotle lunch with David, went to get mandro, and explored the bookstore. Dropped him off, and was kinda sad that our time had ended. He was really cute when he hugged my arm while I drove. Went to Temple to study and work on concept map with Catherine who drove all the way here to visit! Went to home meeting at the Kissekkas!
- Slept in for the first time in a while, Ray came later and hung out with me in Davis. We studied at the MU for a while because I really needed to do some readings, then we got froyo and drove to dixon to pick up Mom. Later, we went to Yangs Noodle, which I thought theyd like but they ended up not liking it. But mom said that she liked my room and that shes happy i found a nice place to live at!
- Lord's table in the morning with Robyn. Later, had lunch at home with Mitzi and Robyn and Dave. Was a little irritated because everything takes so long... but I later went to MU to study more for quiz tomorrow and all the readings. Later, D and I did it and it was nice.
- Class, a lot of lectures... and weird chakra lady gave a long ass lecture about healing touch which everyone thought was B.S. Came home, studied some more, then coordination with the students at home!
- Lab was kind of fun and easy because we did the stations with Christine. Lots of transporting people and positioning people. Came home, fell asleep and napped for a little bit, had dinner with dave and Robyn, and later went to Costco with david. Had a fight tonight.
- Lab again which was also pretty easy today. Went to Starbucks after to complete an assignment with Catherine and then drove back to Davis to rest and study more. Dinner at the Lee's (with singing time!) I prayed with Timber at night for sending Rene that email to change my clinical placements. It was encouraging to pray together. Later, had another fight with David. Its just too much at once... but we got thai food after and reconciled.
- I had stayed overnight at David's. At 2am, I woke up and left and went broho by climbing in thru Davids window. Spent the night, did it there too, and it was just nice waking up next to each other in the morning all warm and fuzzy. Went to mcdonalds to each breakfast together before I embarked on a long ass day of legality in nursing from the dean of SMU. She was a good lecturer and the content was interesting, but you can really only listen to someone for so long before wanting to shoot yourself in the head. Came home, finished a few assignments like a dead zombie, decided to nap a little bit, and game night at home! It was fun playing mafia---people tried to kill me a lot of times but I was saved and dodged it! It was fun until the end when reality kicked in haha. Adaptive quizzing tho.
- We had training at Sutter today which took forever because of some Natalie girl at SMU oakland in the ELMSN program. It was so annoying...and we all ended up leaving in the afternoon. Went to starbucks to do some hardcore legit studying and then some bipolar guy started screaming and throwing things that the EMTs were called to take him away on a stretcher...home meeting at the Lees was very enjoyable! We shared our experiences of 2s and 3s and how important it is for us to be built up together before gospel work can prevail! Came home to study more....
- Today was a fail-ass day. BASICALLY because my dumb ass never brings anything with her, I didnt bring an ID when we went kayaking on Saturday. So it was a pretty sucky experience overall where I had to watch people have fun while I just sat there thinking about how I could be studying. The nice thing was, Cat was able to pick me up after I phoned her and she drove me back home to get my things and then we studied at the MU. After, I decided to go to progressive dinner because I was pretty hungry...which turned out to be really fun just because we got to know each other more and the food was amazing. I also found out the Rene was able to switch me out of Mercy to Sutter Sacramento! I was super super happy about this that the Lord answered one of my prayers again. Met up with David after.
- Lord's table, left almost immediately to go to coho to study for my quiz tomorrow! Everyone is freaking out about it but I just think that Im reading the slides over and over again... Met up with David at around 4pm, and we went to TeaOne to eat some chicken, boba, and tea eggs while "Studying". We both got really tired at some point though so we decided to go home and rest.
- Class! Took my exam that I studied all weekend for! It turned out to be not that bad, and as I was taking it, I didn't feel like I was getting a lot of them wrong--I ended up with a 94% Pretty happy about that. Lecture was too truncated for me to get anything of substance... so I guess Ill have to re-learn myself. Came home, did laundry, ate food, and then met up with David at around 6pm to eat dinner at Panda! Later I also jumped into his window and then did it, left again, went to walmart, and jumped in thru window again! It was an interesting experience---I feel quite mysterious. Spent the night at David's--it was really comfy and nice :) <3 We woke up at 3am and did it again looooolssss<3333
- Woke up pretty satisfied with our sleep, had to jump through window again! But this time I made the mistake of flushing the toilet...but thankfully nothing was asked. I went to class all tired and stuff and we had skills lab :( it was interesting though to listen to all the heart sounds! I finally feel like Im putting my stethoscope to good use! Came home, ate lunch, studied a little bit before knocking out horrendously for 2 hours. Studied more, and more, and more, and late night mcDonalds trip with d! <3
- Wednesday was skills lab, and then it also happened to be the first day of instruction at uc davis, which means I rushed to campus to help table... but really I just hung around. Went with Gwen and Linda to take care of comcast stuff, which surprisingly, only took half an hour! Afterwards, I went to Starbucks to study and do some work, David came at around 6pm, and then we both went to dinner at Hueipings together. It was pretty great tonight---so many new ones, and the atmosphere was just very different and refreshing--It felt like an actual meeting where everyone was there because they wanted to be there! Afterwards, had an argument with David though...
- Today I had class until 3pm. Afterwards, I came back home to relax and just do some more catch up work! It was nice that no one else was home and I got to relax at home for a bit---got gas & groceries at night.
- Slept in... but really, my 8:30am alarm went off and woke me up anyway! Coordination was downstairs today and it was super awkward since the house resonates all the sounds. Drove to campus for open lab, awkwardly performed a head to toe assessment on Catherine, freaked out about how comprehensive the exam was going to be, went to Starbucks to do some work, and then later coming to the library on campus to do more studying! I ended up staying until 6pm...which was hella late and it kind of made me angry. David and I met up and went to get vietnamese food at a place called Coriander in Midtown...but the chicken I got was too dry. We went to our Hawthorne suites!
- It was a pretty hot night without the fan working--I think after staying at $200 hotels, going to a chain $85 one really made a difference. We got lunch at Mas Taco (again) and really enjoyed their ceviche! Later, we had a great talk about many random (yet interesting) topics at Temple near the Co-op, then we went to Ranch to get some groceries. Afterwards, we drove to the nice vietnamese restaurant in Elk grove and got their spring rolls with the crunchy thing inside! it was delicious. Finally, we came back to Davis separately and then I just did some studying, cleaning, and.... MY FIGS CAME!!!! IM SO HAPPPPPPPY. At 9pm, David and I met up again for me to give him his basil and for him to check out my scrubs---but we ended up going to CVS to do his stupid money order thing!!!
- Lord's table meeting in the morning, then ate lunch with Gwen spontaneously at Taste of Thai where she shared with me a few secrets and I shared with her a few secrets. Went over to catalina to study, but really I just lied around because I was tired. Called mom while I waited for David, then we met up and drove to Pleasanton for the night market! The night market itself was alright---it wasn't what I thought it would be and the lines were too long! Lookin' thru the booths at the cute asian things was fun though--plus David really wanted to make me happy because he thought I had gotten mad about us having to leave early to make it home on time... but he felt bad and I knew it and he tried to make me feel better. We also went to T4 and got boba and lobster balls for just $9, instead of $60 that we spent at the night market!!! Drove back to Davis <3
