AKA, movies and video games and books so awesome I want the kind of character development that can only happen during 8 long seasons...

Look, I'm not crazy...they've done it before! A current (and actually my favorite) example is ABC Family's 10 Things I Hate About You.

• Inception---just think about it, every episode would be a new heist, and a new dream. It would be a bit like Leverage, only tripper and with a better cast and a darker, more built up mythology. (Yes, I am deluding myself into thinking that Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, and Tom Hardy would do a TV show)
• The Phoenix Wright Games---Yes, I know I am a huge geek, but I just love Phoenix Wright...and Miles Edgeworth, and Gumshoe, and the whole rest of the Ace Attorney gang. Plus, I think an U.S. television adaption of the wacky cases would be the perfect addition to the currently tiring batch of crime shows on the air. It would be a bit like Psych, I guess, but with a Japanese twist.
• Mona Lisa Smile --Ok, this is a weird one, but I love this movie (and just watched it), and think it would make a great, Mad-Men-ish soap opera. Between the trials of Julia Robert's teacher, and the different stories of the girls it could be like a more wholesome Desperate Housewives (set in the 50's)! Plus, as a lover of art history it would be great to categorize it as "educational" when I watch!
