Essay Gram extends an act of kindness to Margaret and it comes back to her through Lily. Describe these acts of poetic justice in the novel.

Gram demonstrates poetic justice in a few acts throughout "Lily's Crossing". Gram sent Margaret a picture of Eddie and shared stories about him with her in her letter. Lily sees that Gram misses Poppy, just as she does. She shares with Gram a letter from Poppy and memories of Poppy. By showing a kindness to Margaret, Gram models compassion and kindness to Lily, who, in turn, shows kindness to her grandmother. Lily has been taught to be a loving person through her grandmother's demonstrations, which plays a role in the poetic justice of the novel, and the way that these acts come back to her though Lily.
