There are many famous film makers throughout the history of the industry, one of them being Alred Hitchcock. Born in 1899, the British director and producer has been considered one of the most prominent and prestigious part of the film industry. He created many popular movies such as "The 39 Steps", "Psycho", and "The Birds". Throughout these films as many others, Hitchcock demonstrated just what a great film maker he was using certain skills that make it apparent. Alred Hitchcock lived a very fulfilling, rewarding life which made a large impact on the modern film industry. Hitchcock attended St. Ignatius College, London and the University of London, where he studied engineering. Hitchcock had often described his early life ranging from childhood to his graduation from college as lonely and very sheltered, due to his obesity and rejection from others. Hitchcock's parents taught him much about manners when he lived at home, and this carried over to his attitude about work and his studies in college. Hitchcock truly entered the film industry in 1920, just a few years after graduating from the University of London. He began by first writing scripts, and received a full-time job at Islington Studios the following year, designing titles for silent movies. he rose from title designer to full film director in just five, short years. Though his first few films faced a string of bad luck during their runs, his luck changed in 1927 with his first thriller, "The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog". After making a few films, he released "39 Steps" in 1933, a film regarded as one of the best from his early period. His next major success was "The Lady Vanishes", in 1938. During the 40's, Hitchcock's gained him experience and a well-known name in the industry, while in the 50's, he hit his peak years of film making. Throughout the 60's and 70's, Alfred Hitchcock continued to produce more films that did very well and have prestigious and remembered titles. "The Birds", released in 1962, was a chilling film that contained amazing editing and has been re-made because it was so popular. Also made in the 60's, "Marnie" is considered top notch Hitchcock. His last, major triumph was entitled "Frenzy", and was released in 1972. It gained popularity easily. Hitchcock passed away on April 29, 1980, after working on the incomplete script for a movie never released, entitled "The Short Night". In conclusion, Alred Hitchcock was one of the film industry's best. He created and produced many films in his time, which all had a significance and contributed to his expeience. He is a man who made an impact and will always be remembered because of his work.
