• cab drivers who enter the intersection when the hand is blinking as you are half way through
• weekend party street vomit (too many bars in the village)
• certain hot subway stations that defy logic when it's cool upstairs
• odd smells of the toilet nature that sneak up on you
• un-airconditioned laundry mats
• crowded areas in herald square and union square where most of the tourists are
