MEMORIES:

• watching thunder and lightening and the warm rain on our porch after moving into our brooklyn apartment
• playing the yosemite sam game: where we can't say anything sarcastic/mean to each other, so we have to yell frick and frackin a lot into a paper bag
• funny games like pretending to fall asleep when he's talking or walk out of the room or leave his shoes hanging somewhere precariously or driving away when he comes to the car door or driving away when he has just run in to grab something.
• when his hands were trapped in the window at the college avenue house and he was yelling for help
• when he fell in florence italy on a crowded street
• riding on horses up to el limon (his tiny horse)
• him using the noodle to swim in hawaii
• the first time we did e
• when we'd go to gaylords coffee shop before work and get coffee and play the tabletop arkanoid
• when we bought condoms, a c-clamp, whiskey and Ensure at Longs Drugs.
• when we dried our socks on the seat in front of us in the movie theater on a rainy day.
• driving home from yosemite and the car breaking down. we had to stop every 1/2 hour and play trivia for the car to cool down.
• smoking on the back porch at 662 (we've quit since then)
• driving the cats around while a tv show pilot was being filmed at our house
• emerging in the blue grotto
• food sickness for three days in turkey
• putting our cat kids to sleep, painful but love overwhelming present
• when adam drank the water that had a condom wrapper in it that made his mouth numb cause it was an extended pleasure condom
• irish man float at the parade in england that looked like it was attacking people
• watching the cape cod sunset together
• the night we met at cafe du nord and talked at a little table in the back of the room because of a practical joke
• when we had sleep sex
• row boating in the middle of a lake alone in the catskills
• the potlucks and parties
• when ripley was hit by a car (not a happy one but a strong memory nonetheless)
• driving in the DR and laughing
• candle butt burning contest at the macarthur houses
• watching him walk up to the hotel from my balcony when we met up with each other in italy
• the tide pools day with rob and laura a super long time ago
• our first date when i went to the wrong house initially and then we went to thai food and i was wearing a green and white plaid dress from the 50s
• sleeping together on the train ride across the US and arriving in a snowy denver colorado
• watching him ride on the innertube as justin dragged him across the lake
• keeping a nantucket nectar bottle we were convinced was poisoned and thinking we were going to make millions on negligence
• fake-closing mcdonalds down in manhattan for steve's art project
• cleaning the back patio at Leonard St during a huge warm storm. watching it and getting wet and kissing.
• when he blew up my bike tire at a gas station from putting too much air.
• when he hit himself in the forehead with a hammer while working in the backyard (he was fine and we laughed)

WHILE TOGETHER:

• quit smoking
• meditated in a traditional zendo (it was challenging)
• gone to sunday church (unitarian)
• celebrated with teatro zinzanni
• bid on things at the nash bridges tv show closing auction on treasure island
• purchased our first home
• attended the audium listening center
• rode horses on the ocean & to a waterfall
• attended plays and many musical performances
• cooked poppy tea with friends and watched Baraka in a euphoric state
• rode a gondola in italy
• canoed into the blue grotto on capri island
• opened a nightclub for a year with burlesque, bands, comedians, and dance nights
• took a train across the country from LA to New York
• had a tv show pilot filmed at our house
• tried experimental drugs and stayed up all night
• attended symphonies & musicals
• hip hop roller skated
• a couple strip clubs, a couple lap dances
• moved across the country to new york city with our cats
• canoed in guerneville
• swam off the coast of Maui with big fish
• travelled to: turkey, italy, spain, france, montreal, mexico, england, cuba india, dominican republic, ....
• held lots of potlucks and bbqs with charades and boardgames
• short trips around US

• kept an apple juice sample in the fridge for over a year because we thought it was contaminated and wanted a lab to examine it (long story)
• begged for money in cuba
• got our car repair from a con man

• rowed a boat on swan lake
• ate fish together in maui for the first time after being strict vegetarians for years
• zip-lined across the cloud forest in costa rica

• quit our jobs and took a year off
