• this particular march has been a little emotionally intense.
• grandma anita passes away
• adam gets food poisoning of some kind
• biko's cancer develops rapidly and we put her quietly to sleep with dr. diaz in our livingroom.
• my taxes are a mess because i'm just learning i can write things off and my tax guy is frustrated with my ignorance i think.
• i am arranging gay and lesbian educational workshops for the whole school i work at and i am balancing out organizing and politics with various non-profit organizations. i hope friday goes over well...
• couple of good people/friends of ours decide to part from each other

on the plus side we saw an incredible fleetwood mac concert which lifted my spirits. stevie is amazing. i'm going to brunch with some gals sunday and to a farm with richard, james, matt, salma and adam next week. that should be nice! hopefully april brings spring and goodness!

• one of those amazing new york days that just happens with little planning.
• decided to wake up super early and attend the stevan alan sample warehouse sale (a favorite new york shop). while there i sifted through clothing right next to my cousin paula who also snuck in before work. very funny. we laughed. we both bought one top.
• headed to work and had a nice lunch break with richard.
• headed to east new york to do a home visit and session with one of the girls i work with "felicita". she's one of my favorite gals who has been missing school lately. immersed in a rougher different part of new york. had a fun time with felicita and making her laugh while teaching her math which is comical because i suck at math.
• headed out with cynthia to meet liane for dinner at a cozy little place called brooklyn star. it rained outside. the girls made me laugh.
• went to meet matt for drinks at the richardson (we have not gone out alone in quite some time). we talked for hours. it was fun. he dranks manhattans.
• headed home at the same time joe got home. we had a long talk about life and relationships. he said a really nice thing at the end before i went to bed: thanks for listening.
• crawled into bed where i thought adam was asleep. he turned over and gave me a big warm hug and a kiss and then i fell asleep.

Memorial Weekend

• such a wonderful memorial weekend break with some great spring days in brooklyn
• friday got some listography work done
• joined facebook
• saturday got lunch with liane and cynthia and then cruised around williamsburg shopping. met several sweet young women who own these great little shops!
• watched american idol finale with adam. awesome.
• ate breakfast sandwiches in bed and watched back to back episodes of 30 Rock saturday morning
• sunday went to the african bazaar in fort green outside BAM. ran into intisar (one the kids i work with) and her lovely father
• sunday went to see Dance Africa 2009 with steve, cynthia, matt and salma. one of the most incredible performances i've ever seen! followed by delicious dinner at Bonita in fort green
• monday went to see the Tyson documentary in union square with adam --amazing.
• went for a run through the park
• ate a cozy dinner with adam that included mac N cheese
• adam met up with vince for an afternoon band practice
• ended with a nice little bbq on matt & salma's roof (ran into meredith and her pups on the way home)
