What a beautiful face I have found in this place that is circling all round the sun. What a beautiful dream that could flash on the screen in a blink of an eye and be gone from me. Let me hold it close and keep it here with me. And one day we will die and our ashes will fly from the aeroplane over the sea. But for now we are young, let us lay in the sun and LIST every beautiful thing we see.

7 Sutras

  • Aham Brahmasmi (ah-hum brah-mahs-mee): The core of my being is the
ultimate reality, the root and ground of the universe, the source of all
that exists. Imagine that the whole universe is being played out inside
of you, that you are connected to everything that exists, that you are
 eternal.
  • Tat Tvam Asi (taht t’vahm AH-see): I see the other in myself and
myself in the other. Imagine that your spirit is not only in you but in
all other beings and everything that is, that everybody and everything
is a reflection of yourself, that when you look at the universe you are
looking at a mirror. (Here I find it helpful to open your eyes and put
this into practice while sitting. This is also a good one to try to keep
with you throughout the day, as it allows you to shatter duality. Remind
yourself of this constantly.)
  • Sat Chit Ananda (saht chit ah-NAN-dah): Eternal bliss consciousness.
Master your inner dialogue. Imagine that you are centered and totally at
peace, looking at the world with knowingness and peace, that all beings
are your equal, that you not affected by flattery or criticism, that you
are focused on the journey not the destination, that you are detached
from the outcome, that the light of love radiates from you, that you are
intoxicated with love and love everything around you, that you know
exactly what to do in every situation.
  • San Kalpa (sahn KAL-pah): Intent weaves the tapestry of the universe.
Imagine that the whole universe is a vast ocean of consciousness and
your intentions shoot out from within your heart and ripple across this
ocean, that your intention is orchestrating the infinite activity of the
universe, that it is powerful and can heal those who aren’t well/bring
joy and laughter to those in sorrow/success to those who are
failing/strength to those who are fearful.
  • Moksha (MOKE-shah): I am emotionally free. Imagine that you are
without physical form, a field of awareness everywhere at all times,
that you have left behind any sense of anger/resentment, that you are
free from blaming and feeling blame/guilt, that you can set any goal you
want to achieve and actually achieve it, that you are free from your
habitual compulsions and patterns of behavior, that you never
participate in gossip, that you respond at the highest level no matter
what, that there are no limitations to what you can manifest, that you
can see infinite possibilities at all times.
  • Shiva-Shakti (SHE-vah SHOCK-tee): The gods and goddesses express all
of their attributes and powers through me. Imagine that you are both masculine (strong, decisive,
courageous, articulate, powerful) and feminine (beautiful, sexual,
intuitive, nurturing, affectionate.) That you are as stable as a
mountain, as flexible as the wind, an enlightened being with infinite
compassion, a divine being of God playing in celestial realms.
  • Ritam (REE-tahm): I am alert, awake to coincidences, and know that
they are messages from God. I haveaccess to the conspiracy of
improbabilities. Imagine that your body’s rhythms are in perfect order,
that you are the harmony of the universe, that every time you seek
something the universe provides clues in the form of coincidences, that
there is a connections between what happens in your dreams and what
happens in your waking life, that you are transforming and evolving into
a higher being, that there is meaning and purpose in everything that
happens and everything you do, that you have a contribution to make to
this world, that you notice what others may not notice, that you see the
hidden meanings behind events, that life is full of peak experiences.
