we had an amazing trip to the dominican republic and cuba. we learned so much and it was good to get out of our own reality. the culture is so rich there and the people so beautiful. aside from missing our first flight, i would not have changed a thing.
- adam yelling: "we're going to casa santi" at the hustlers outside our car window
- getting in a situation where we had no money in cuba and no access to funds
- catching a huge warm rain storm on playa rincon beach
- coming across a great dance performance in the streets of havana
- missing our flight and having to catch one the next day, also missing luggage
- babies, scooters, dogs, chicken, people, potholes, you name it, in the roads of the DR (usually the babies were with moms but one day there were literally two babies in the road by themselves)
- adam essentially proposing to me on el limon
- the valley of vinales
- karate chopping waves
- the horse ride to el limon waterfall
- shaved fresh cacao given to us my a farmer
- massive thunder and rain storm the night before we left
- the first feeling of cuba and socialism
- adam saying he has to re-base this bitch (suppose to be spanish for pass if pronounced correctly)
- worst meal ever at the most beautiful restaurant
- helados y cervezas
- the poor villages in the samana peninsula
- weird european resort at the end of playa bonita
- amazing french dinners at hotel acaya
- the kindness of raul, rene and others trying to help us
- el coco loco
- clear warm waters
- the boat ride to playa rincon
- sunrise over samana peninsula on the way to the airport
- biko and ripley leave us a poop in protest for leaving them
