- Fort Bragg: loved this cute old town nearby: Larry Springs and Little Cup shops, Tattoo Museum + Skunk train ride and railroad bike tracks tour (cute)
- Bowling ball beach (download locale beforehand it’s tricky to find)
- Manchester beach
- Botanical garden
- Van Damme State Park and forest trails: Fern Canyon Scenic Trail is gorgeous and the shorter Pygmy Forest hiking trail you can reach by driving up a little further.
- Elk town nearby (30 mins) - cute! And beach across the street.
