What a beautiful face I have found in this place that is circling all round the sun. What a beautiful dream that could flash on the screen in a blink of an eye and be gone from me. Let me hold it close and keep it here with me. And one day we will die and our ashes will fly from the aeroplane over the sea. But for now we are young, let us lay in the sun and LIST every beautiful thing we see.

Zurich ✈️

- Zürich-West
Lucerne (~1 hr train from Zurich) - Old town, Lake Lucerne, Boat ride, Rigi OR Pilatus as your mountain day
Wengen/Lauterbrunnen (~2 hrs from Lucerne) - - “fairytale Switzerland” Lauterbrunnen valley, Waterfalls, Wengen, Mürren, Jungfrau region. This is your “holy shit, Switzerland is beautiful” portion.
Zermatt (3 hrs from Lauterbrunnen) - pretty, car-free mountain village, but the real attraction is the Matterhorn
Lausanne (on Lake Geneva: Flon, Rôtillon and Sous-Gare/Grancy neighborhoods)/Lavaux: Day 1: Lausanne: Flon, Rôtillon, Sous-Gare/Grancy cafés, shops, architecture, nightlife. Day 2: Lavaux: Train/boat into the vineyard terraces, Little villages, Lake views, This is where you'll get that almost-Mediterranean Switzerland feeling. Day 3: Montreux + Chillon: Montreux, Lakeside promenade, Chillon Castle, Train/boat back to Lausanne
Lavaux + Montreux - feels almost Mediterranean, Lake Geneva, mountains, vineyards cascading down the hillsides, the Lavaux terraces are UNESCO-listed.
Ticino (Locarno or Lugano) - Lugano, Locarno, and especially Morcote. Ticino's official tourism site describes the region as a mixture of alpine valleys, lakes, subtropical vegetation
