Jade wasn't entirely in the best mood but she needed to get out of the house. She quickly typed away at her phone and scrolled to today's date. The phone started rattling off all the things that were going on that night. Jade thought the burlesque art show event sounded the most fun out of all the ones she heard about. It said that the event was black tie affair, Jade found a black dress in her closet. It was one that she hadn't had the opportunity to wear yet. It was kind of too trendy for her but she still wanted to try out the choker dress look anyways. Jade found a pair of black heels to go with it.

"Fuck makeup" she said to the mirror she now faced. Jade actually dressed as a burlesque girl a few Halloweens ago. Jade always kept the mask out. Never knew when she might need it next. Jade finished her look with Studded Kiss by Mac on her lips. Jade eyed the dark red color. She felt much better now.

Jade took the long route to get there. She just needed some time to think. Seeing all the happy couples walking hand in hand on the sidewalk nearly killed her.

Jade finally found the place. She was getting worried that in her daze she might have passed it. Everyone looked so beautiful. The burlesque girls, the people there. Everything seemed to glow.

Jade headed to the art section of the venue. Jade didn't feel like turning to alcohol tonight, she sipped on water.

Jade noticed the curls first. Then the voice hit her. It was Vianna Keane. It was Vi. It was the girl she interviewed almost a month ago. Jade didn't see Olivia anywhere. Instead Vi was with some other people. Jade guessed that they worked together. Some of them just screamed corporate. Jade eyed a guy next to her. "They would make such a cute couple" Jade thought to herself. Just then Vi turned around. A smile came to her face. She truly lit up the room. I figured that I better at least say hi and walked over there.

"Hey, Vi" Jade called out. Remembrance dashed across her face in an instant.

"Hey, Jade," she greeted back. She turned to her companion. "Geo, this is Jade Harrison. She's the one who wrote the first article."   Geo smiled my way and nodded. Then he took hold of my hand and kissed it. I could tell straight away that I wasn't the first to be introduced to Geo like this.

"Lovely to meet you, Jade. Have you been in Seattle long? I was raised in the city and I don't believe I've seen your extraordinary face," Geo seduced. Vi rolled her eyes, knowing he was always ready to meet new people whenever they were out.

"You must not have been looking hard enough" Jade seduced back then turned her attention back to Vianna.

"Have you gone to see the burlesque dancers yet?" Vi asked excitedly. "We're gonna head down in a little while. Geo and I are just checking out the art auction for pieces for my apartment."

Jade mentioned how she was doing the same and that, no, she hasn't gone down to where the burlesque dancers were yet. Each of them auctioned for the art they wanted. Of course they were either the highest bidder or nobody else bidded on the pieces that they wanted.

"I'm so happy you got those two!" Jade practically jumped for joy. The auction people took down their information and kept the art safe for them while Vi, Geo and Jade made their way down to the dancers.

Instantly the music engulfed them. The dancers were scattered in every occupancy on the floor. Lust filled eyes traveled to them.

"You two should be up there" Geo shouted to be heard over the music.

Jade wasn't interested in what he thought - not tonight. Jade kept watching and sipped her drink. Jade never saw a show like this before. It was really erotic watching them dance the way they did.

The art that Jade took home was a canvas with two naked bodies interweaving. It was done very classically. Jade liked it immediately. She always did like oil paintings. Jade hung it up on the hallway leading to her bedroom. Jade didn't know who the artist was which made her sour mood return.
