"A Mrs. Benson called" Kipp Sebastian chatted as he heard those unmistakable high heeled boots come into the room. "You should give her a bell" Kipp added. "Give her a bell? Jade replied in a daze. "Call her back" he laughed.
Jade wanted to abstain from calling her back right away. But then remembered what day it was. She gracefully sauntered to the phone. Her fingers seduced the dial buttons. Jade was aware of Mr. Sebastian watching her every move. The phone kept ringing on the other end. Mrs. B finally picked up the phone. They conversed for a few minutes. Jade put the phone back down.
"How do you feel about art?" Jade blurted in Kipp's direction. Jade didn’t really like the idea of him being at the shop all by himself. Jade had a feeling that Mrs. Benson would get along with him smashingly.
“There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into sun” Kipp recalled the ancient quote from Pablo Picasso. "I love art. Why? You want me to paint a picture of you?" He sassed.
"Well, that's impressive that you can quote Picasso. But Pike Place Market is hosting an event where local artists talk about their new art and the public get to see all the work before it’s installed. I believe that the people can also bid on the pieces too." Jade finally lot out a breath. "Can you actually paint?" Jade stammered.
It turns out that Kipp Sebastian could paint. Jade learned that the hard way. The best way. But first, she came to notice that he always had one of those sketch pads with him. He even had paying customers.
"That sounds delightful. " Kipp sounded sincere. "I'd love to escort you and Mrs. Benson there."

The previous week when Jade was at Mrs. Benson's house they were talking about art. Mrs. Benson told Jade about how she wanted to purchase some new art. She was wanting something new to awaken her bedroom. Her bedroom still had a huge canvas painting that she was getting unaccustomed to seeing every day and night. Change was what she needed. Jade was a marvelous friend to the older lady. She kind of reminds Jade of her own grandmother but Mrs. B was still younger than Luce Harrison. Jade quickly looked up at dealings and found out about this one. Jade couldn't contain herself when filling in Mrs. Benson of what she found. Telling her all the information. It was decided that they'd go together.

Jade, Benson and Kipp Sebastian were sitting together. Watching all the art. Hearing about why the local artists made the art the way they did. About what gave them inspiration. Mrs. B even bidded on a piece. Jade was overjoyed for her. It was a shame that they couldn't take the picture back to her house now. Instead it had to get hung up and admired by all of the community that didn't show up today.
"I think maybe next year, I'll be one of those artists we just watched" Kipp told the ladies. The thing is, Jade believed him. Felt that he'd be a decent artist. She was looking forward to seeing him up on that stage communicating to the audience his every wim.
