The night that Patricio Ortega died, Rafaella lost it. She didn't know what to do. Their relationship was estranged at best. Sure, he gave her gifts and everything but Raf just wanted to be close to him. To actually enjoy spending time together and time was limited. And now there was no time. The nurses looked at her pathetically. Tears came down. She knew that staying at the hospital any longer wasn't an option.
Rafaella wanted to be close to him again. In her mind, Ortega Enterprises flashed before her. She blindly decided to go there. It was locked but Raf had a spare key. She was heading to father's office when Evan Grey came out of his own office. He looked startled but then reconciliation shown on his face.
"He's dead" Rafaella told him breaking down in tears. In seconds Evan was hugging her. He didn't have to ask who. Rafaella was a mess.
She quietly went into her dad's office. Sat in his chair and cried a little bit more. The room still smelled like him.
Rafaella's cell buzzed. Two missed calls which both went straight to voice mail and six new text messages. She couldn't deal with them right now. She had a feeling it might be Guadalupe or perhaps people offering their condolences, already. News would travel fast. She didn't know what she'd say or do right now. She needed that night to think. In the morning she'd call back. Guadalupe was all she had now.

Rafaella left the office and basically ran in her heels to Conner Falcon's studio apartment. Conner was a German model staying in Spain. They met one day at a coffee shop near Ortega Enterprises. He opened the door with no shirt on. His jeans and hair messed up. Conner grinned at her. Raf hasn't been around for a few days. She walked in.
Rafaella's lips parted slightly. She went for a kiss. Deep down Rafaella knew this was wrong. Deep down she wished that Conner wouldn't ask any questions and would just kiss her back and then some. At that juncture, Conner did kiss her back. He could tell that the beautiful Rafaella Ortega in that moment was grieving over something. His kiss deepened. Rafaella was pushed into the desk that littered the tiny hallway.
"We should" Rafaella was going to say "we shouldn't do this" but Conner thought she meant "We should use a condom" and produced one. Rafaella bit her lip. She was out of options. She couldn't just walk away now. Raf wanted his lips back on hers.
She nodded and Conner obliged. His trousers fell off encasing his ankles. Rafaella lowered on the desk. Her skirt was off. Conner rubbed himself to encourage his next move. Conner didn't really like wearing tents on his penis but he happily put one on that night. The rest was history. Moans skyrocketed out of the two. It was perfect, it was dangerous.
Once at her own place, Rafaella filled up the bathtub. She felt awful about everything that just happened. It didn't bring her closer to her father or anyone else. Before Raf slept the night away, she vowed to never be so vulnerable like that again.
He could easily be someone who you could fall for and she had enough falling tonight. The whole Ortega family was crumbling down. Raf silently hoped to never see Conner again. Dreams of her parents invaded her sleepless night.
