- you self diagnose without EXTENSIVE research
- self diagnosis is valid but not with 2 google searches. you need to do more research than that!
- you overuse tone tags
- ex: "omg i love your art! /lh /pos /gen /p /srs"
- not only can this skew the tone, but it comes off as you talking down to the person/people you're speaking to, which is heavily ableist. please only use one tone tag at a time, only if somebody says they require more then use more.
- you think autism cannot affect someones gender
- you infantalize or romanticize autism
- you make fun of other autistics who dont fit your view of "cutesy"
- for some reason, people think all autistics on the internet are cutesy soft scenecore people with "cute stims", and then they see a real nd person who has a stim that might be considered abnormal and make fun of them.
- you have a typing quirk and refuse to translate when asked
- you arent obligated to translate your quirks, but if somebody asks, it doesn't hurt to just do so. some nd people cant read them!!
- you support non-traumagenic systems or their variants
- you think its possible to be diagnosed with DID under the age of 18
- ive seen so many people claim to be diagnosed and theyre like 16. it takes like one google search to find out thats bullshit and DID is only detected in adults due to how complex the disorder is.
- you are against teenagers and adults "playing pretend" as a way to cope with mental illness or just as an escape from reality
- we can play pretend too! we arent hurting anybody
