- Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and a breeze coming in through the window
- The scents of sunscreen and bugspray, two of my favorites in the world
- Peeling my skin off in sheets after getting sunburned
- Floating the days away in Gramma's pool
- Bike riding all over town with two adorable hoodlum boys, circa seventh grade
- Swimming out too far at the beach, that moment of fear when I don't think I can make it back, that moment of elation when I realize I can
- Camping, smores by the bonfire, falling out of the hammock, kissing for the first time
- Lightning bugs in jars by my bedside
- Summer creature sounds: Crickets, Whippoorwills, raccoon chatter
- Ice cream melting too fast, damnit.

- The dark, outside. I'm not scared of the dark indoors, but when I go outside, especially in the wooded area around my house - creep out!
- Wolves/Coyotes/Wild Dogs/Some domesticated dogs - Totally terrified. I get sketched out around puppies, it's terrible
- That monster that lives under the basement stairs
- Any bug that has more than six legs
- Death
- Bananas (most disgusting "food" on earth)
- Car accidents
- ANYTHING hurting my daughter
- Lightning (not so irrational.)

There are a lot of things I want to do with Elise (my daughter) this summer. Here are a few:
- Backyard camping trip
- Train Ride
- Whale Watching
- Go to the zoo
- Boston Children's Museum
- Go to the beach
- Get bikes for both of us, ride them
- Go to an amusement park
- Baseball game
- Fireworks
- FAIRS
- Block Island

- Got up at 7am after hanging out in #pubwrite Waaaaay too late.
- Drove to parents house, chugged coffee, got a bellyache
- Went to dinky podunk parade in hometown. Sat out in the rain for said parade for about an hour.
- Walked downtown to get a strawberry shortcake from the old ladies who've been selling them after the parade since I was wee.
- Went back to parents house, ate a metric ton of pasta salad, as well as a cheeseburger
- Went home, made tuna noodle salad for next picnic
- Drove to picnic, sat out in the sun, sweat.
- Sweat sweat sweat
- Found some shade, but then it was time to eat again
