put the phone in your pocket.

  • go on more walks.
  • take a scarf if necessary and just go a few blocks down, without a destination in mind.
  • observe the architecture, the people, the atmosphere. let yourself dive into your thoughts.
  • do not be afraid to get help. if you think you need someone to get you out of a dark place, reach out to them, or anyone. they will listen and understand.
  • keep the things that are important to you. it’s good to let go of certain things that are toxic or put you down; but if you think something is worth keeping, don’t let go of it.
  • have enough strength to resist the urge to give up.

work on your communication.

  • try to get your points across as clearly as possible.
  • don’t circumvent important things that need to be addressed but you’re uncomfortable talking about. understandability is crucial.
  • remind yourself that people love you. there are people who think about you and smile, who can be themselves around you. you’re an important person in so many people’s lives. you’re not alone. you really aren’t.
