- overresponsive reflexes
- hyperactive bowel sounds
- high blood pressure
- hyperthermia - 104 degree fever
- clonus and overactive reflexes more pronounced in lower limbs
- mental state: hypervigilance to agitation
- in severe cases, major increases in heart rate and blood pressure that may lead to shock
- life threatening cases-- fever of 106
