  • myoclonus (intermittent tremor/twitch)
  • overresponsive reflexes
  • hyperactive bowel sounds
  • high blood pressure
  • hyperthermia - 104 degree fever
  • clonus and overactive reflexes more pronounced in lower limbs
  • mental state: hypervigilance to agitation
  • in severe cases, major increases in heart rate and blood pressure that may lead to shock
  • life threatening cases-- fever of 106
