- the summers at nan & granddad's bungalow in norfolk - waking up in the morning and hearing the cows mooing over the road, looking at the loud ticking clock in the lounge, playing with that orange speckled ball in the overgrown back garden, walking down the hill past the fields to the chip shop or the market stalls with nan to get fruit & veg, and sometimes going to the post office and being allowed a small toy
- sitting on the loo in nan and granddad's bungalow and trying to make up my own joke, all I came up with was: "knock knock / whos' there / minnie mouse / minnie mouse who? / minnie mouse is much more prettier than you!"
- being happy to get one of the few loose seats at the school lunch tables that you could spin around on
- one xmas eve i woke up earlier than usual and went downstairs to see dad was asleep on the sofa but all my presents were by the fireplace, so i got excited thinking he must have heard/seen santa, but he denied it and i was confused how he could've missed it!
- getting a "pen licence" in primary school - year 5 or year 6?
- dad encouraging me to talk to the camcorder and filming me a lot
- before we got our cream sofas mum and dad kept the old grey ones in the hallway and i remember climbing up and sitting on top of one
- there was always chocolate gold coins at the bottom of my stocking
- "I'm the king of the castle and you're the dirty rascal" (usually sung when you were stood up high somewhere)
- always having chips and milk whenever we went out to eat
- going to the swimming pool with dad and eating chips afterwards in the restaurant upstairs overlooking the pools
- those £1 plastic balls that you split in half with a toy inside

- when i was alone and scared i think i did something like imagine i had a guardian angel or a digimon or something that was with me to keep me safe?
- getting pocket money every saturday + getting an increase every year i got older

- dad throwing the top green part of tomatoes at me pretending it was a spider
- dad putting a comb near my ear from behind whilst pinging the teeth to make a buzzing sound to make me think a fly was in my ear

- mum doing my hair in a plait and tying it up with that orange hair tie after my hair was washed

- that day on the beach when the sun was going down and i was chasing dad around the sand banks and throwing soggy sand at him
- stepping in the top of a couple of jellyfish on the beach in cornwall
- hearing 'reach' by sclub7 on the radio in scotland and making up my own dance to it outside
- whacking the shuttlecock over the neighbour's fence and dad picking me up and putting me over the fence to run and get it. I was always worried next-door would see me!
- at the weekends going to the paper shop and then the park with dad and eating chocolate bars by the massive tree that had fallen down and then walking along the tree and playing games there - pretending fairies lived there or something?
- running around the bushes in the park near the pavement bit where i used to ride my bike round
- cycling to and around the lake with dad, him running to catch up with me down the road, free-wheeling down the bridge so fast that i always had my fingers hovering over the brakes cos i worried i was going to crash, awkwardly cycling over all those bumpy tree roots that used to be round the lake before they put pavement down
- never worrying about monsters being under my bed because I had so much junk and other stuff under there that I knew nothing else would be able to fit!
- the treehouse at the end of the garden in cornwall and the cute little dog next-door
- that big red slide at the park
- the woodland play area in black park - never being able to do the monkey bars
- getting annoyed with dad when he put my bike helmet on and clipped the skin on my chin with the buckle thing
- always singing the wrong lyrics to that song (?) "booyaaa haaarrr booooyaahhh heyyy"
- that boat in norfolk
- being too scared to get my driving licence in legoland
- playing with "helicopters" - those things outside from trees?

- looking at hair accessories in tesco
- getting white chocolate from the petrol station shop on the way home from school
- going to the local fairground with dad
- using random things in art at school - pasta, pieces of material, sponges, those plastic circle things the bottom of a thread
- driving past all the farms, barns and tractors in norfolk
- that boat trip in norfolk
- getting sandwiches stuck to the roof of my mouth sometimes
- going to art galleries in norfolk
- thinking that adults could get any amount of money they wanted out of the bank
- those huge rose bushes/trees in black park that reminded me of alice in wonderland
- walking home from the park when in a thunderstorm and dad scaring me talking about how people can get hit by lightning
- being too scared to go to the bathroom by myself in the evening because I thought there was a monster/bad person upstairs/in the loft
- not remembering how to spell our surname at school - I kept getting the I and A the wrong way round
- being friends with that girl that lived on the way to the park
- when we played badminton in the back garden and the shuttlecock got whacked into next door's garden (doug's) dad would pick me up and lift me over the fence to go and get it and I'd always be worried that the neighbour would see me in his garden
- picking skin on my lip until it bled
