• making "birds nests" out of dried up grass on the school field in primary school
  • looking at the hair accessories in tesco as a kid and a woman telling me i didn't need any hair accessories because my hair was already pretty
  • i was the first one to leave school on the last day of year 11 and the policewoman smiled at me and said "so the exodus begins"
  • swinging in the park with an annoying kid next to me who told me I wasn't swinging correctly, later she fell of the swing and cried and i secretly felt pleased karma got her back
  • chasing dad on the beach in norfolk as a kid and throwing the wet sand at him
  • meeting a little boy in scotland when we parked up in the car and he had a little pet dog he showed me?
  • in scotland as a kid i was waiting by the till with mum and dad and the cashier said she thought i was staring at her in a scary way and joked i had a "london glare"
  • watching 'friends' as a pre-teen, the episode where chandler was suspected to be watching shark porn and i didnt know what porn meant so i considered asking mum but luckily i looked it up in the dictionary instead
  • being home alone as a pre-teen on christmas eve and collapsing by the lounge door on my period
  • on the way back from a day out with dad a few years ago we parked up at a restaurant and we looked up to see a huge flock of crows flying towards a hill at sunset and dad said "bloody hell looks like a horror movie!"
  • watching dad trying to crack a coconut open in the garden and laughing when he spilled the milk all down his top
  • waiting up until midnight new year's eve for the millennium, i played battleship with mum and dad
  • feeling really grown up on a school trip in year 5 or 6? when our group got to stay downstairs on the coach alone
  • collecting paint samples as a kid whenever we went to a DIY store
  • dad telling me the story of a time when i was a young kid (like 4 or 5?) he heard me making a racket in the back seat of the car and turned round to ask me what i was doing and i said back "i cant shut this bloody window", he said he was laughing because it sounded weird hearing a little girl come out with that
  • coming home from school one day and being really excited because mum had got me a barbie pencil case
  • being a kid and singing "make luv and listen to the music" loudly in the garden and mum saying "chloe sshhhhh! you can't sing that out here you don't know what it means!"
  • walking to english class when a boy the year below me randomly started asking me questions and i was confused and then his friend said "come on, leave her alone!" and him looking me in the eyes and saying "what man? she's beautiful" . I was totally shocked and didn't know what to say
  • a sub teacher reading our class harry potter and the philosopher's stone everyday and feeling excited to read the next chapter
  • our year 7 english teacher somehow stepping into the bin and falling over with it and the whole class laughing whilst he got up and said "too many garbage cans round here!"
  • when i was in year 13 we had one sociology class in the high school part of the building and my old german teaching smiling at me and saying "you look more and more grown up every time i see you!". i always had a crush on him so i smiled awkwardly
  • when i was 14 i told my uncle which bands i liked and he said he did one of the band's (bullet for my valentine) hairstyling and that he could maybe get their autograph for me. i started imagining a scenario where i could be introduced to them and they could put me in a music video or something but it never happened!
  • after having a fall out with a friend in primary school i went off by myself and walked by the school field and looked out to the distance and started making up a song about being alone/sad
  • that time I was lost in marylebone/baker street and a guy asked me if i knew any local places to eat, later surprising me by saying "i thought i'd ask the first beautiful girl i saw!"
  • being obsessed with bowling when I was 12/13
  • 2/2/09 - we had the most snow I'd ever seen that day, school was cancelled, and when dad came home from work we went to the lake in the dark (or near enough) to see the snow. I didn't have a spare battery back then and had used all the battery power during the day filming and taking photos so I couldn't document any of it, but I wish I could have. It felt so magical and it was so quiet and empty. I don't remember much of it, but I know I slipped over at one point
