- I woke up one morning to find my alarm clock was on the floor halfway down the side of my room from my bed. This was before I had the drawers by my bed as a bedside table and when I used to keep my clock on my chest of drawers where it was out of knocking distance. nothing else had moved, so it's not as if something else fell down and knocked it over, even if it had got knocked over by something else it would have just landed straight below the chest of drawers, not rolled halfway down the floor (it can't roll anyway, it's not round!)
- a few years ago I was home alone and in the bathroom. I thought I heard a noise downstairs but thought mum and fiona couldn't have got back yet so I looked out the window and couldn't see any car. I was confused so I opened the bathroom door and looked down the stairs. I saw what looked like a figure of a person in the reflection of the front door. The figure moved forward quickly from the kitchen to the hallway and I was so freaked out I slammed the bathroom door and was too scared to come out for a while. I was so convinced something was in the house I got my pair of scissors from the pc desk and held them like a dagger thinking I could try to defend myself with them. went downstairs slowly but there were no more noises and nothing was there.
- I walked in my room one evening to find my lightbulb was lying on my bed. nobody had touched my light, it wasn't a new bulb that wasn't screwed in properly or anything, there was no way for it to come loose, it had been in for a long time and was screwed in tightly. I never found an explanation for how that happened.
- one morning when I was home alone about a month or two after nan died I was certain I could hear someone walking around in the landing when I woke up. I could hear the floorboards creak in the pattern they do when someone walks across. I thought mum must be home early from work but I got up and saw she wasn't. there was nobody in the house.
- one day when I was crying about jasper in the lounge alone I could suddenly smell lavender and rose which didn't make any sense because there was nothing in the house that had that smell. It didn't last long. Nan loved those sorts of smells so it felt like it was
her.
- in december 2018, on the 14th, 6 months after jasper died, I woke up to hear banging noises. I was thinking about jasper's 6 month anniversary when I heard them. I didn't think much at first so it ignored but as I heard more I thought I'd better get up and check rosie was ok, worrying that maybe it was her toppling over. I knew it wouldn't be anything else because mum was at work. I got up to find rosie was fine, she was in the landing, looking at me confused. I assumed something in another room had just lost balance and fallen down but then I heard something fall down loudly in the bathroom and was confused how anything could randomly fall down by itself in there. I walked to the door and saw a bird fly across from the left to the right. it was a great-tit. It made no sense how it got inside as all the windows were closed. it behaved strangely too, it wasn't scared, it was happily flying around and chilling by the shampoos, swinging on the light, when I stood on the toilet to open the window it flew right past my face and landed on the window handle next to me with no fear. when I got the window open and asked it to leave, it did.
- in december 2019 mum told me a robin came to the window sil of the lounge and looked in at her for a while. the next day I noticed a robin was on the window sil of the back bedroom and looking in at me. it was in my direct line of vision so I couldnt miss it. it stayed there for a minute or so then flew away. it wasn't catching flies or anything, just there to look at me. out of all the years I've sat here there's never once been a robin land on the window sil, nevermind look in. (no birds either, other than a magpie once or twice briefly)
- I was crying at the pc desk when I could suddenly smell strawberries out of nowhere. the smell only lasted a few minutes. there was nothing strawberry scented nearby.
- later on that same night I could suddenly smell lavender out of nowhere. it only lasted a couple minutes and there was nothing lavender scented nearby.
- may 2021 - I was crying when I heard a floorboard creek in the landing, I said "Rosie?" and a few seconds later the floorboards creeked again but closer to the door like she was walking closer to me
