- Goals: The difference between try and triumph is a little umph. (To remind myself to try a little more :))
Biblical reminders:
- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world...comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. 1John2:15-17 (To remind myself not to be superficial. Not to place too much of myself in worldly things)
- Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 (To remind myself that God will take care of me, so there's no reason to worry)
- For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (To remind myself that God has plans for me, so I should trust him. When I need him, he will be there for me and listen to me.)
- Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18 (To remind myself to show other people God's love through my actions and not through things I say)
- Trust with the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 (To remind myself to always trust in the Lord and not in myslef!)
- So weather you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (To remind myself to honor God through all my actions)
