- in "changeling," when the serial killer is on the gallows and shouts to the crowd in desperation, "someone say a prayer! someone say a prayer for me! please!" and when no one does, he begins singing "silent night," quietly, to himself. he makes it through the first verse and part of the second before the rope is released.
- in eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, when he looks at her and says: "this is all going to disappear soon." and then he says "what do we do now?" and she says "enjoy it." commence crying my eyes out like a baby.
- in monster, at the end when the killer I forget her name says "goodbye, baby" on the phone to her girlfriend and christina ricci says "goodbye, baby" too and cries, she calls her baby even after what she has done, even though she isn't supposed to love her anymore
